  1. Lets hope he hits a walk-off World Series home run as well haha
  2. Yeah Santander's contract isn't that bad to be honest and was a safer play than Profar. Santander was pretty solid for the last 2-3 years with Baltimore. Plus, this team needed a power bat badly. Lets hope Santander can hit his 30-35 HR's, and will take whatever other numbers come with it.
  3. He's only struck out 9 times so far this season. Crazy.
  4. Santander never was anything special with the bat. Eddie Rosario is a good comp, though with Santander you get more HR pop. Santander is mostly just a .240/.300/.460 type of guy offensively who can hit around 30 HR's. He's a switch hitter which is nice. Just hope he provides between 2-3 WAR every season along with a wRC+ of around 120, which isn't that bad given the contract. If he starts to become a negative WAR player, which is also definitely possible, then all of a sudden this contract isn't looking good.
  5. Yeah damn, miss Big Cecil around. If he finds out that me and Brownie get along now, he likely would faint haha.
  6. Orioles lost again today to the Twins.

This core of Matthews/Marner/Nylander has been together for how long? And they haven't even sniffed an Eastern Conference Finals? This group is never winning the Stanley Cup.
  8. Yariel looking good out of the pen! Can be a huge piece for this team!
  9. Leafs fans heading over to the Rogers Centre.
  10. Downtown is going to be crazy tonight. Jays + Leafs + Maple Leaf Square Tailgate.
  11. Not concerned with Hoffman at all. 2-3 blowups all within the span of 2 weeks definitely will inflate his ERA, but his other peripherals such as K/9, K/BB and his FIP are still very elite and some of the best in all of baseball amongst relievers.
  12. Also, got to hope Jays are playing meaningful games during that time for it to be worth it!
  13. A couple days ago: Friday and Saturday 😅
  14. You would think, this team puts up 9 runs and we still lose. FFS baseball!
  15. They should do the WBC in the middle of July and make the All-Star Break two weeks. Do something similar to like the NHL 4 Nations. You can base the teams by region e.g. (North America, Latin Caribbean, Asia, Europe, South America etc) or just have the best countries compete (US, Japan, Venezuela, Dominican, Mexico, Taiwan etc.) Would have either 4 or 6 teams max. Two weeks would be enough to create a mini-tournament and players/pitchers are already in mid-season form so you'll get even better baseball than you would in March. As well, most WBC teams just suck and struggle to put out a full roster. We don't need teams like Italy, UK, Germany, Czech Republic, Australia, etc. competing in the tournament, heck even Canada. Better to go by continents/regions instead or go with the top ranked teams in the World. You'll get better baseball than watching some AAA scrubs pitching for Team Italy or whoever.
  16. If you owe shares in Paul Skenes, sell before.
  17. I went to see the Leafs play the Kings in January 2024 and got seats like 10 rows up from the glass near the Leafs bench for like around $180 USD each off StubHub. Couldn't do that in Toronto. Also, remember seeing the Leafs in Boston on a Saturday night and paid around $150 USD and was 5 rows behind the glass/goalie. Also, last June saw the Red Sox at Fenway against the Tigers. Got seats in Sec F54 Row B for $80 USD each for a Friday night game off StubHub. Prices in other big US cities like Dallas, Houston, Phoenix, Tampa, Atlanta are cheaper. Going to see Ricky Gervais this August in Montreal since tickets were half the cost they were in Toronto. Got lower bowls for $250 on a Saturday night at the Bell Centre, whereas in Toronto they were around $500-600 each on TicketMaster for similar seats on the Thursday.
  18. Yeah best to buy Jays tickets off SeatGeek or StubHub the day of the game.
  19. Even worse haha. Raptors prices are crazy expensive considering how bad they've been, though can always find cheaper seats on TM Resale or StubHub. Leafs will always be expensive and a hot item. MLSE could charge whatever they want and Leafs fans will pay. Ticket prices in Toronto overall are very expensive, whether for sports or concerts, in comparison to certain cities in the US.
  20. Don't want to make it sound like I'm complaining, though the cost of Jays tickets especially good seats have noticeably increased over the years. For example, $419 for a single ticket in Section 22, Row 4 for Wednesday's night game. Section 122 and other 100 sections around the infield which are the upper levels of the 100 level are $120. TD Zone are $144 which aren't bad considering the cost of other tickets. I guess for the good seats it's best to check the resale market like SeatGeek or StubHub before the game. From 2009 to 2011, I was purchasing 25 games from a season ticket holder who had seats second row behind the away dugout. Was paying $100 each game for two seats, so for 25 games was $2500. As well, was allowed to trade in tickets to the box office and they would give me similar seats if available nearby for other games, which was really cool. Just remember during that time premium infield seats would run around $120-150 or so from the box office. Not anymore haha. Overall, Jays are still probably the most affordable ticket in town to go see a professional sports team. 500 levels are always around $30-40 and can still purchase some 100 level outfield seats for around $70-90. Whereas before could get a 500 level for like $12-15 each or a 100 level outfield for around $30 haha.
  21. At least he doesn't flip flop all the time like you do.

    Go Cats!
  23. This Mariners series definitely saved the Jays season IMO. Now back at .500 and only 3 GB from the Yankees. Lets hope they carry this momentum at home! Would be nice to bury the Rays season with this series!
