  1. Why not bring Carlos Tosca back for a second go around?
  2. Awesome, thanks! Should be an entertaining evening on sports talk shows tonight!
  3. Bring back Cito!
  4. When Grant calls other organizations to inquire about trading for certain players or prospects, this is what every GM will do... http://i.imgur.com/qSzngMn.gif
  5. I actually don't mind Bobcat. He's an entertaining host and does know his stuff better than others (Tim & Sid). When he's joined by Brunt or Shannon, its a good show.
  6. This is what Ticketmaster responded to me after I sent them an e-mail asking about the refunds for single game Blue Jays World Series tickets: "Done and done - we canceled your order and refunded your money, just give it 3-10 business days. Sorry you can't make it - see you next time!" lol
  7. Tune into PTS between 5 and 7 PM. Should be a good one. AA will be on at 6 PM, Bobcat just confirmed.
  8. I'm sure you'll have some protest outside the Rogers Centre today. To be honest, I think this hurts Rogers more than anything from a PR perspective. I'm confident Mark Shapiro can do a great job and find a solid GM and manager. However, from a PR perspective with the Jays making the postseason for the first time in 22 years, the trade deadline AA pulled off and the buzz surrounding this team the final 2-3 months, this is crippling to some especially the casual fanbase. Not the greatest move from Rogers, especially how AA won over so many fans this past summer. I'm sure you'll have some fans who planned on buying flex packs or even season tickets default this winter. I think all will be forgotten however if the next GM comes in and make a big splash this offseason (similar to the Donaldson trade, Martin signing last offseason).
  9. Didn't Kevin Millar play 3B a couple of times? And he always hit like 4th or 5th haha.
  10. Meh and one of those guys blow their arm out?
  11. Grant in the LOD would be fun!
  12. I like Josh Tomlin a lot. Same with Jesse Chavez. Worley is an interesting guy as well. I'd have no problem with the Jays targeting one of those guys as the No. 5 starter. They could provide some great value.
  13. Nate Karns had a solid year.
  14. Adam Warren was pretty decent as a starter this season. Yankees though probably keep him in the pen. Other guys are Alex Colome, Carlos Frias, Chris Bassitt. Charlie Morton could be an interesting target. Still under control for 2016 + an option and could likely be dangled by the Pirates for a particular need. He's more of a groundball pitcher obviously so not the same arsenal as Estrada.
  15. Velocity dropped big time and walk rates were going up. They said after his surgery that he'll have improved velocity so that will be interesting. He was one of favourite pitchers to watch in 2008 and 2009. Its so unfortunate that his career has taken such a downturn the way it has.
  16. Who could be the next Estrada next year?
  17. Oh wow, that would be awesome to see the Jays at Coors Field. Depending on when they are in town and if I could align it with a D'Backs game and Mariners game as well. Also, need the Canadian dollar to improve because its awful to travel now down to the States.
  18. Yeah for the Saturday night game.
  19. If I ever hit up a Rockies game, I'll give you a shout. Did a west coast trip in California this past August and hit up all the ballparks. Next trip I'd like to do in the next couple of years would be Colorado, Arizona, and the Northwest like Oregon and Seattle.
  20. Which starter do you think the Jays could sign on a 1 year deal worth $12 million this offseason? Someone comparable to Dickey (in terms of performance) likely will require a multiyear deal. The only guys I could think of are some of the vets out there like Colon or Lackey. Colon probably would sign a 1 year deal with an option. I think Lackey gets a 3 year deal from someone worth $40M.
  21. Grant, want to join the DDL and LOD?
  22. Estrada pitched in the NL before coming to the Blue Jays...
  23. After being traded from San Diego, Jake Peavy wasn't that bad when he pitched with Chicago or Boston. Injuries were his only problem.
  24. AJ Burnett
