  1. Myers had one good season. Just had to sell him at the right time
  2. Depends on the game and when you sell it obviously. If its still $79.99 brand new at the stores, most people would probably pay $35-$40 for it used off someone Kijiji where EB games would charge close to $60 for a previously played game + tax. Like if I sold NHL 16 over the summer, I'd be lucky to get $15 - $20.
  3. I'm not a fan of digital games. I prefer always owning the hardcopy. If I wanted to sell that game after playing it, you can't with a digital game. For example, I bought NHL 16 for $39.99 off Amazon back in November and since I've stopped playing it for a while, sold it to someone off kijiji for $40 - so basically paid like $5-6 in taxes etc. to play it for those 2 or so months that I did. I think digital games have their place (Steam) and on the PSN and Microsoft Stores when there are great deals available, though I will always look at buying a hard copy either on Amazon or at Best Buy. EB Games might have to get into retro sales, though there are some vintage video game shops like A & C Games popping up, plus kijiji definitely has a market if people are looking for retro games. Also, the PSN & Microsoft Stores have started selling digital copies of older games. I don't think EB Games will survive any longer.
  4. I'm shocked EB Games is still surviving with Amazon and Best Buy controlling the market. EB Games is awful - expensive, never put any games on sale, don't price match with Best Buy or other competitors, offer you nothing for trade-in, previously played games are almost the cost of new games, try to rip you off every time you buy a game by asking if you want to buy extra insurance for the game lol.
  5. Was considering to go, though good seats were quite expensive for just a ST game if I recall correctly.
  6. Some insider information: he might be sitting on the free agent market after the first week of the season. Once you trade Adam Jones, he'd be a nice OF replacement for you.
  7. I'm reluctant to move Avisail García. I can't wait for another disappointing season from him!
  8. Sorry to hear Grant. I'll keep your father in my prayers. Stay strong.
  9. He hit that huge HR in Seattle last summer though. Give the guy some respect!
  10. I don't blame EE asking for more than V-Mart. I'm sure 4 years around $80-90M with maybe a club option for a 5th year would get EE locked up.
  11. Jays probably only offered EE a 2-3 year deal that takes him only to his age 35-36 season where EE is looking for a 4-5 year deal. If V-Mart got a 4-year deal at age 35, then EE definitely could demand a 4-5 year deal at age 33. As for trading both EE or JB if the Jays can't come to an agreement before the season starts, I agree that would be stupid. The Jays have their best chance to contend this year with both JB and EE on board. Unless you get a solid MLB pitcher or piece for them, though I doubt that is the scenario. If the Jays are out of it at the deadline, then you explore those options.
  12. I'll probably pick up a copy when it comes out. It's always a yearly tradition for me and if it reviews well like 8.5 or 9, I'd be happy. If anyone wants last years MLB the Show, I'll sell it for $10.
  13. You might have to restructure Bautista's contract for 2016 as well if he were going to sign a 3 year extension for 2017, 2018 and 2019. I don't have a problem with 3/$75, so maybe do 4/$100 and have the contract kick in starting this season. As for EE, he is 3 years younger and to be honest I'm not worried about his bat. For a power bat like he is, he hardly strikes out, makes a lot of contact and the power has been consistent over the last 4 years. He'll stick as the primary DH, so you shouldn't have to worry about significant injuries hopefully. If EE ages well and performs like David Ortiz has with Boston, I think we'll all take that. Bautista is going to have to DH or play 1B someday anyways from the sounds of it, so how much longer he stays an effective OF is another question (well we've seen his defensive value take a big hit over the last year or two).
  14. I have A-Rod already as my UTL. Don't think I could roster two players with UTL eligibility.
  15. Ugh own some shares of him in the LOD and FC. I have Ramos in the LOD already, but I was expecting Capps to be one of my best relievers and help my pitching ratios. Probably will be tough to keep him past next years waiver deadline in the FC.
  16. In South Africa, in cities like Johannesburg cars have flamethrowers installed to prevent carjackings at red lights lol. Its like Mad Max over there haha.
  17. Ask GP as he has been to every ballpark in North America. As for that kind of road trip, where your visiting Detroit, Cleveland or Pittsburgh, I don't think you have to spend more than 1 night in Detroit or Cleveland (if any at all). Pittsburgh is actually very nice from what I've heard and they have really done a good job at cleaning up their city image in comparison to 5 to 10 years ago. I really don't have any desire to visit Detroit or Cleveland unless its for a baseball game and I'd only go for the day. Both cities are dives. Around the ballpark in Detroit is nice with some good restaurants and bars, but I wouldn't go walking around the city like you would here in Toronto especially at night. Just use your street smarts and that applies to anywhere you go, and you'll be fine. You should do a road trip on the west coast if you haven't already, which is far better. Start down in San Diego, then hit up Anaheim, Dodgers Stadium, San Fran, and maybe even Seattle. Only difference is that you'll have to pay for the flight there, but you could get good deals like a month or two in advance for around $500 for a RT to Cali.

I'll be there. Have season tickets. Where are you sitting?
  19. Joey Votto was born in Toronto though!
  20. Trop would be nice, even Skaggs.
  21. Tickets to watch a Blue Jays game are still the cheapest in town in comparison to the other major Toronto sports teams.
  22. Going for a long shot. Took Cory Luebke. Sent Sammy a PM.
  23. Nice pick. I was thinking of grabbing him, though the back end of the Cubs BP is pretty crowded. Still, he had a nice stint with the Cubs which is encouraging!
  24. Steamer projects him to have a somewhat decent season. He's expected to get one of the final spots in the Padres rotation and pitching in San Diego doesn't hurt as well. If he could be a solid No. 4 starter with decent peripherals, I'll take that.
