  1. You might have to restructure Bautista's contract for 2016 as well if he were going to sign a 3 year extension for 2017, 2018 and 2019. I don't have a problem with 3/$75, so maybe do 4/$100 and have the contract kick in starting this season. As for EE, he is 3 years younger and to be honest I'm not worried about his bat. For a power bat like he is, he hardly strikes out, makes a lot of contact and the power has been consistent over the last 4 years. He'll stick as the primary DH, so you shouldn't have to worry about significant injuries hopefully. If EE ages well and performs like David Ortiz has with Boston, I think we'll all take that. Bautista is going to have to DH or play 1B someday anyways from the sounds of it, so how much longer he stays an effective OF is another question (well we've seen his defensive value take a big hit over the last year or two).
  2. I have A-Rod already as my UTL. Don't think I could roster two players with UTL eligibility.
  3. Ugh own some shares of him in the LOD and FC. I have Ramos in the LOD already, but I was expecting Capps to be one of my best relievers and help my pitching ratios. Probably will be tough to keep him past next years waiver deadline in the FC.
  4. In South Africa, in cities like Johannesburg cars have flamethrowers installed to prevent carjackings at red lights lol. Its like Mad Max over there haha.
  5. Ask GP as he has been to every ballpark in North America. As for that kind of road trip, where your visiting Detroit, Cleveland or Pittsburgh, I don't think you have to spend more than 1 night in Detroit or Cleveland (if any at all). Pittsburgh is actually very nice from what I've heard and they have really done a good job at cleaning up their city image in comparison to 5 to 10 years ago. I really don't have any desire to visit Detroit or Cleveland unless its for a baseball game and I'd only go for the day. Both cities are dives. Around the ballpark in Detroit is nice with some good restaurants and bars, but I wouldn't go walking around the city like you would here in Toronto especially at night. Just use your street smarts and that applies to anywhere you go, and you'll be fine. You should do a road trip on the west coast if you haven't already, which is far better. Start down in San Diego, then hit up Anaheim, Dodgers Stadium, San Fran, and maybe even Seattle. Only difference is that you'll have to pay for the flight there, but you could get good deals like a month or two in advance for around $500 for a RT to Cali.

I'll be there. Have season tickets. Where are you sitting?
  7. Joey Votto was born in Toronto though!
  8. Trop would be nice, even Skaggs.
  9. Tickets to watch a Blue Jays game are still the cheapest in town in comparison to the other major Toronto sports teams.
  10. Going for a long shot. Took Cory Luebke. Sent Sammy a PM.
  11. Nice pick. I was thinking of grabbing him, though the back end of the Cubs BP is pretty crowded. Still, he had a nice stint with the Cubs which is encouraging!
  12. Steamer projects him to have a somewhat decent season. He's expected to get one of the final spots in the Padres rotation and pitching in San Diego doesn't hurt as well. If he could be a solid No. 4 starter with decent peripherals, I'll take that.
  13. Nah I've got rid of all my Avisail stocks this year.
  14. Took Robbie Erlin. Feeling totally despaired. Sent Silvergun an e-mail on Yahoo.

Yeah I found it hard to believe that the average person was going to pay close to $2000 for a pair in the upper bowls. When they first released tickets to Raptor season seat holders last month, they were around $425 each which I would have had no problem paying, though couldn't get a pair (only singles) since the NBA didn't release that many seats. Then they rereleased seats last week and when I logged onto my account, tickets for upper bowl corners went up from $425 to $900 each. Just couldn't justify spending that much to sit up that high for a non-competitive game. I'd rather take two trips somewhere at that price. Plus I knew nobody was going to pay that price or more if I tried to flip them on Ticketmaster or Stubhub. The celebrity game and Rising Star Challenge were very reasonably priced. Wish I could have bought tickets to the celebrity game as well, since when they first went on sale, both events had the same time listed so I just went for the Rising Stars. Would have been easy to hop over to the ACC from the Ex. Even the practice on Saturday was good.

Tickets for tonights game have dropped a lot in comparison to what they were weeks leading up to the event. Still probably will cost $600-700 bones per seat for upper bowls, but still cheaper then what the Raptors and the NBA were rereleasing upper bowls last week, which were $900 each. I went to the Rising Star Challenge game on Friday which was a lot of fun. For $60 couldn't go wrong.
  17. Yup. Sent him an e-mail through Yahoo.
  18. Don't have access to the spreadsheet at the moment, so don't know whose up next.
  19. Took Oh. Could someone e-mail the next team up, on my cell phone.
  20. A flex pack interested me. Tried getting them through a friend who works at Rogers since I'd get them at 50% off though they didn't have access to buy them right in December. I've checked flex packs through the Jays sites, and most of the Sunday giveaway games aren't available through a flex pack unfortunately anymore.
  21. Had Hendricks and Jones on my radar for possibly my next pick, darn.
  22. Gotta say, tickets are pretty reasonably priced for the Home Opener and for Canada Day on StubHub. Only downside is paying in USD. Though still the prices listed aren't that absurd. Just managed to snag a pair off the Jays site for the Sunday July 3rd game (Tulo bobblehead Day) in Sec 128, Row 16. Hoping still to get something decent for July 10th and August 14th.
