  1. I understand that though who else do you suggest to go after at a reasonable price? Rich Hill would be nice, but he's going to cost a lot and is probably the most sought after rental arm out there. Jeremy Hellickson? Outside of just being an innings eater, he's not that good. Sonny Gray? I doubt the A's would move him now with his value this low. Even if they do, he'll still cost a pretty penny likely. Julio Teheran? He'll cost more than he is worth (4.10 xFIP) due to his age, controllability and the season he is having. Plus I wouldn't want him pitching in the AL East.
  2. As a back end of the rotation starter, he's not that bad. 2.3 WAR in each of the past two seasons. Wouldn't probably cost that much. Tyson Ross would even be a good target if he comes off the DL.
  3. How about Andrew Cashner?
  4. Is the message board on the Blue Jays official site still going?
  5. Yeah, plus the time it would take to make that transition to the rotation given the Jays window to contend, it wouldn't make sense.
  6. You think the Blue Jays ever experiment with Osuna as a starter or just keep him in the bullpen?
  7. Looking to make some moves before the trade deadline. Preferably would like to add another top of the rotation arm if possible, though really open to anything. Could dangle Freddie Freeman for the right arm, or package Dexter Fowler + other arms. As well, wouldn't mind doing a challenge trade with Chris Tillman for a bat with similar value/upside/question marks.
  8. They still have bobbleheads left at Gate 5/6. Several boxes and no lineups go get in.
  9. I'm lined up for Gate5 & 6. Waiting in front of the CN Tower/Ripleys entrance and got here at 9:30.
  10. What's the best gate to lineup at? Gate5 or 6?
  11. Should they retire Johnny Mac's number and put him on the level of excellence?

    Raptors fans are so cheap.
  13. Andrew Miller has 33K/1BB in 18.2 innings.
  14. I'd consider moving Freddie Freeman for a top starting pitcher. His bat has started to come around now.

I'll admit I wasn't that high on the Raps after the first two games, though I still was looking forward to seeing what they would do at the ACC in Game 3 & 4. Toronto fans in general are pessimistic when things don't go well for their teams. Yeah the first two games of the series were ugly, though so many "casual" fans wrote off the Raps. For example, I had tickets for tonight that I was willing to sell at cost and one of my co-workers said that she wanted to see what happened on Saturday first and then she'd let me know. You saw the same thing with the Blue Jays against KC as well. Toronto fans really have mood swings, even in the playoffs. When the team is looking down and out, most fans are negative and just give up. Lets enjoy this series regardless what Toronto does over the next two, or potentially three games. This is the first time in franchise history that the Raps made the Eastern Conference Finals. Let alone, they are only 2 wins away from the NBA Finals. Who would have thought? If you said that at the beginning of the NBA season, every Toronto fan probably would have doubted you.

Could you play JV at PF though? I mean that would be the only way to keep both JV and Biz. Though not sure thats possible over a full season.

It's going to be an intriguing situation to follow this offseason. I think the Raps could win with either JV or Biyombo at C, though they will have to make a decision on which one they move forward with. I don't mind Nog as the backup behind either of those guys. The Raps do need a starting PF, which I think needs to be the No. 1 priority. Al Horford would be a prefect fit. You can't go into next season again with starting PF's like Scola/PP again. As well, replacing DeRozan with a better player would be a huge plus as well. Raps will have money coming off the books, as well a possible trade chip in JV. It will be an interesting offseason.
  18. 3.62 xFIP 3.20 SIERA
  19. Hopefully Goins is sent down when Travis is back up, and the Jays keep Barney around.
  20. Bring back Sergio Santos, he was a great closer!
  21. If Sanchez continues at this pace, what do you think his value is on the trade market during the offseason? Especially considering there are hardly any elite arms available via FA.

It really seems like Tory never has anything better to do. Following him on Twitter is a pain. He's either in Shanghai tweeting pictures from conferences, tweeting pictures of the Raptor mascot visiting him at City Hall, tweeting pictures of him at major dinners or events etc. It's annoying as hell.

Dwayne Casey lost this game. Where the f*** was Biz at the end of the 4th and in OT? Ridiculous! They didn't have any rim protection and were missing rebounds by going small. And DeRozan can go f*** off, that wanker! Geez he's awful to watch.

With JV out this series, will the Raps dress Lucas Nogueira to backup Bis? He had some good games when he played at times this season off the bench.
