  1. He'll be a first base coach this time next year...
  2. True, though he's 33 and hasn't been a closer (I know that it doesn't mean anything on how valuable he is, though it means something on the free agent market). I could see him getting around $7-8 million at most. A 3 year deal worth $22 million is what I think he ends up getting.
  3. Brett Anderson 5.79 K/9 Mike Leake 5.58 K/9 I'd rather take the bulk innings Leake provides over Brett Anderson.
  4. Good comp. I'd be comfortable giving O'Day that type of deal.
  5. Latos 3.69 xFIP this season. I'd take a chance on him.
  6. Seriously? No way I'd pay $10M AAV to an aging reliever.
  7. I think AA will lean on the side of caution when it comes to pitchers made of glass. He's taken chances on guys like Brandon Morrow and Josh Johnson before. Doubt AA would want to give Brett Anderson anything more than 2 years. I'd be quite hesitant with giving him anything more than that due to his injury history.
  8. We've seen some left-handed starters pitch well into their mid-late 30's. Randy Johnson was still a beast into his late 30's. However, then there is CC Sabathia who basically just imploded at age 32. Regardless, signing Price or any arm for that matter that takes a pitcher into their mid-30's is risky.
  9. Most likely scenario probably. Osuna probably would be on an innings limit as a starter and to be honest I think Sanchez is a better bet to stay in the pen because he was pretty bad out of the rotation. Still signing an elite reliever like O'Day would make a huge difference.
  10. I'm shocked nobody has listed some of the bullpen arms available. It wouldn't shock me to see AA try to shorten the games with a lights out bullpen, after watching what Kansas City has been able to accomplish the past two seasons. The bullpen is up in the air for 2016. Will Osuna again be the closer? Will Sanchez be a starter? Lowe is a FA. Loup can't be relied on. Really, Cecil and Hendricks are the only guys who have guaranteed roles next season. Darren O'Day is a FA and would be a perfect late inning reliever for this club. I know Jose and him had some beefs in the past, which could be a roadblock in signing him. Worth 1.8 WAR and had a 11.80 K/9 last season.
  11. lol What about Hutch?
  12. Isn't Burnett retiring?
  13. You need to contact someone for a refund? Don't they just refund you automatically like 5-7 business days after?
  14. Gotta get tickets at first base when the Red Sox come to town!
  15. Ventura, Cueto and Volquez are all bums.
  16. I haven't given up on Hutch. I just don't think you can expect him to be a No. 2 or 3 at the start of the season however.
  17. I'm sure Zimmermann will wait until Price & Greinke sign contracts, which then would leave him as the top arm available on the market. If Boras is his agent, this likely will happen.
  18. I'd rather spend that dow on Heyward instead of Price.
  19. I think Brett Cecil would stay here if offered a deal like that before free agency. It's been the only organization he's known.
  20. As a bat off the bench and if you platoon him with someone, I don't have a problem with him back under those circumstances. Not in a full-time role though.
  21. I'd say make the transition with Bautista to 1B next season if he agrees to it.
  22. From the sounds of it and what other posters just mentioned, the rain is supposed to stop around 4PM and the rest of the night should be clear just with overcast.
  23. It's false hope. I'm assuming thats how Ticketmaster works like what you just said. I remember purchasing tickets online before off a seating map (not sure if it was TM) though once you click those seats, they hold them in your cart for like 2-3 mins or something. No hard loss, hopefully I get lucky next time!
