    I agree with you that RA Dickey would have been a good fit right now in this rotation with all the injuries and crap arms the Jays have ran out there so far like Valdez, Tepesch, Lawrence etc. RA Dickey though doesn't re-sign with the Blue Jays knowing he is the No. 6 starter on the depth charts.

    Sometimes you're better off doing your buying a couple of weeks earlier. I've found its easier that way as well.

    They really can't afford to just tread water right now this late in the season. They need to go on a run plain & simple. 7 other teams are in front of them and if one or two of those 7 teams go on a major run (which is definitely possible) while the Jays just tread water isn't going to get them back into the race.

    Well yeah but Tulo wasn't really providing any value when he was on the field this season. Tulo produced a 0 WAR while Goins is at -0.6 WAR currently. Obviously even Tulo sucking like he has is better than Goins, though it really isn't that drastic of a difference especially if Tulo kept hitting & playing the way he did. So almost the status quo. On the other hand, whoever replaces Martin on a regular basis whether its Ohlman or Lopez will be a significant downgrade and make the Jays much worse.

    Losing Tulo IMO is not a big deal. It's not like he was contributing anyways when he was on the field this season. Martin on the other hand is a huge loss that makes it even a lot tougher now to contend for a wild card spot down the stretch.

    I don't understand why the Jays never targeted a decent 2B/SS at the deadline or even prior. Someone like a Jed Lowrie or Tim Beckham who you likely could have had for cheap and they would have been significant upgrades over what the Jays have been rolling out with at those two positions. Giving so much playing time to Barney/Goins and now Refsnyder have cost this team wins. Having someone like Jed Lowrie who has produced 2.6 WAR so far this season would have been a huge upgrade.

    Dexter Fowler has been on fire since coming off the disabled list, going 6-for-13 with three doubles, a triple and a homer in four games. Fowler is batting .251/.349/.479 with 15 HR and 42 RBI overall. Looking to add a SP or solid closer.
