  1. Not sure the Rangers would do that. Profar though does make sense as a super utility guy who you could give 300-400 AB's to between 2B/SS/3B and OF. In case Travis & Tulo miss significant time again next season, I'd rather give Profar AB's over Goins or Barney. At least with Profar there is some unrealized potential. Might be the next Tim Beckham with a change of scenery.
  2. I listed my keepers the other day in this thread.
  3. I'll probably drop Conner Bleackley (C - COL) prospect from my farm system if we need to cut down this list as well. Have 9 spects including him, though don't want my 2nd round to go to waste.
  4. I love my Vladimir Poutine name already haha. But yeah if I come up with something good involving Kane and Laine, would change.
  5. My 15 keepers at the moment. Debating on my last spot, which might change. 1) Patrick Kane - RW 2) Patrick Laine - RW 3) David Pastrnak - RW 4) Alex Galchenyuk - C, LW 5) Gabriel Landeskog - LW 6) Ryan O'Reilly - C 7) Matt Duchene - C,RW 8) Rasmus Ristolainen - D 9) Justin Schultz - D 10) Justin Faulk - D 11) Ben Bishop - G 12) Scott Darling - G 13) Jimmy Howard - G 14) Antti Raanta - G 15) Dmitry Orlov - D
  6. How many prospects can we keep?
  7. Both Bud Norris and Jay Bruce got activated today for my LOD team, though by time I came home this afternoon, the Angels/A's game already started so even after making two drops, I couldn't get Jay Bruce into my lineup for tonight ugh.
  8. It's stupid that they have afternoon games like this on a Wednesday. Peeves me off for reasons you stated.
  9. I really don't care. Two other members voiced concerns, so I thought I would chime in as well though instead I'm attacked and made the bad guy here. I agree with Silvergun that since we've never had this issue arise before, NJH should just make a final decision. Whatever he decides, I'm fine with.
  10. Last time I checked, you did a lot of that a while ago.
  11. I really don't care, though maybe NJH should make a final decision like others have said or have a league vote. You shouldn't have to do that based on what pleases me.
  12. I'm just putting in my two cents on the issue. Just contributing to the discussion and raising questions which is healthy for any league. I just won't offer input or vote on any league matter anymore if you prefer it that way.
  13. You or any non-playoff team can pickup anyone, though that would require them to drop an active player from their roster, or to update your DL or NA slots. Due to a making a deal after the trade deadline, you now have two free roster spots where you can make adds that you wouldn't have had if you never traded Lamb and whoever else you moved.
  14. I guess we should have a league vote or have NJH make a final decision on it. You just can't change rules on the fly like this because then where is the line drawn if another similar issue pops up again down the road?
  15. It defeats the purpose of a trade deadline in August I guess for 12 other teams. As well, due to a trade like the one P2F just did where it has him acquiring MLB pieces for minor league pieces, he's dropping a relief pitcher like David Hernandez who likely would help one of the 8 playoff teams if someone decided to pick him up.
  16. Then why have a hard trade deadline on the last weekend of August? I don't care if non-playoff teams agree to trades in principle & post them up on here in September, though they should be completed at the end of the regular season on Yahoo.
  17. I don't mind trades being made, though MLB rosters shouldn't be changed to reflect those trades until after the season is over.
  18. Grant is loving this right now.
  19. It was against the Giants, so there was no need to panic.
  20. Kendrys Morales decides to have a monster game hitting 3 HR's and 7 RBI last night right after I dropped him earlier this week. FFS!!
  21. Donaldson will be 33 when 2019 rolls around. As well, he's in a FA class that includes both Harper and Machado. I don't think any team will offer him a 7-8 year deal as a FA based on his age and the current offseason trends we've seen when it comes to aging players/sluggers. I think he'll easily get a 5 year deal + a club option perhaps. 6 years might be the tipping point in getting him locked up. I'll do a rough breakdown of every team and their 3B situation come 2019: AL East: Boston has Devers, so that eliminates one big payroll team. Yankees likely will throw all there money at Harper & Machado, so that would take them out of the equation. If they miss out on Machado, then JD is definitely in play for them. Tampa and Baltimore don't have the money. AL Central: Cleveland has Jose Ramirez on a very team friendly deal. Detroit is likely in full rebuild mode by then, Chicago nah, Kansas City doesn't have the money & the Twins aren't really a fit. AL West: Mariners have Seager still locked up, Astros have Bregman, Angels likely will try to save money & resign Mike Trout or trade him before 2020, no to the A's. Rangers could be a possibility especially if Beltre retires after 2018. NL East: Nats still have Rendon, doubt the Marlins have the $ to sign JD, and the Phillies have Franco. Maybe the Mets or the Braves could have interest & have a need at 3B. Mets have the money obviously, and if the Braves have a solid showing in 2018 with all their young talent, they might be looking to add a major piece for 2019. As well, Atlanta would be close to Donaldson's offseason home in Mobile, Alabama. NL Central: Cubs have Bryant, Brewers & Pirates don't have the $ and the Reds have Senzel. The Cardinals likely could be in play for JD. NL West: D'Backs have Lamb, Rockies have Arenado, and the Padres don't have the $. The Giants have a big hole in their lineup and at 3B (unless they think Christian Arroyo is the answer). Plus, Donaldson has experience living in the Bay Area when he played with Oakland. The Dodgers have unlimited resources, though they already have a good guy at the hot corner locked up until 2020 in Justin Turner. Still they could be creative if they want and move Turner around to a different position if need be. So the teams I have listed who could be interested and have a need at 3B when 2019 rolls around are the Yankees (if they can't sign Machado), Rangers, Mets, Braves, Cardinals, Giants & we'll throw the Dodgers in there because of their unlimited $.
  22. $18M QO for a 32-year-old MI who just had a breakout season? https://www.mlbdailydish.com/2017/7/20/16003828/mlb-trade-rumors-reds-zack-cozart-extension-unlikely Even Ken Rosenthal thinks the Reds don't offer him a QO this offseason.
