  1. Seriously, just stop it BTS. Aiming pretty low right now!
  2. And to think Kyle Hendricks was going to pitch like a Top 10 pitcher with his stuff moving forward was kind of a bit optimistic. Great time to sell by the other team!
  3. Really? I guess I owe all my DDL success to Gibbers at this point.
  4. He was pretty good in 2013 and at his age looked like one of the younger promising pitchers coming up in baseball moving forward. He took some steps back in 2014, though I'm sure he wasn't the only young arm in baseball ever to do so. Sanchez has had his problems this season with blisters and inconsistencies, so I guess he should be considered not good moving forward as well?
  5. So its ok for you to gamble on Puig cashing in on all that talent, though for Gibbers to gamble on Myers wasn't? As for Diaz, he did fall of a cliff. Could the same happen to Cozart who is playing well above his career norms? For sure. Again, not trying to get into a heated argument with you. Just having discussion.
  6. I think Steck and Givens are pretty much a wash moving forward this season TBH. Steck is now pitching in higher leverage situations, has a higher K rate and with the Marlins BP relying on Ziegler as their closer and with Barraclough on the DL still, Steck might get some save opportunities possibly.
  7. Didn't you trade Carlos Correa for Yasiel Puig (when his value was at an all-time low) and Kyle Hendricks? If you're criticizing my previous deals, I'd like to see you defend that one.
  8. How so? Castro sucked for all those years I owned him just prior to this season. Miller actually had a solid season with Atlanta after in 2015 and I remember even that season you were even questioning me as to why I was still rostering Castro!
  9. I guess we should stop Boxy from making trades, because people have been feasting off him for years as well. Not sure whats bad about the Osuna deal. Weaver should be a decent SP in the NL and he did get my 1st/2nd/3rd round picks + my 1st and 2nd waiver draft picks next February. I gave up a lot in that deal & basically handcuffed myself.
  10. Myers came off a season in which he won AL ROY with Tampa. He also got Profar (who at the time was still considered a top prospect and former No. 1 prospect in all of baseball). Marte was traded for Odorizzi (who looks like a pretty solid SP to me) and for Andrew Heaney (who was highly touted at the time and has actually pitched well when he was healthy). I even remember when I traded Shelby Miller to him for Starlin Castro a couple of years ago, you were even criticizing that deal FFS.
  11. Go back and review those trades and tell me how they were completely lopsided.
  12. Possibility of collusion given the history? What past deals have lead you to that assumption?
  13. I guess I could shop Eddie Rosario & Lonnie Chisenhall since they're having breakouts as well and play CF?
  14. Name me some other questionable moves? This rhetoric about Gibbers hand feeding is kind of overblown if you ask me.
  15. To Georgia Peach: RP Drew Steckenrider 4th 5th To Me: Zach Cozart
  16. Having a middle-of-the-order featuring Donaldson, Stanton and Smoak in 2018 would be f***ing sweet.
  17. Plus in the AL, always have the option to DH him in his late 30's. Could still end up being productive like David Ortiz or Nelson Cruz as a DH in the last 4-5 years of his deal. I'm not worried about the money TBH. He likely gets a similar contract as a FA, maybe with 1-2 less years. Otherwise, when you factor inflation like you said, $25-28M AAV won't seem that expensive.
  18. Would the Marlins be in a position to demand guys like Vladdy/Bichette and Stroman though? I would be willing to deal someone like an Aaron Sanchez (who is a Boras client) and the Jays likely know that he'll be going to free agency regardless so the chances of signing him to a team friendly extension are probably moot at this point.
  19. Was contemplating picking him up the other day actually haha.
  20. https://sports.yahoo.com/free-giancarlo-stanton-marlins-need-trade-baseballs-home-run-king-133231299.html Shocking if its true. Blue Jays might be in a good position here based on their current position in the standings. They need a RF and Stanton would be a huge add to this lineup moving forward. Looks like the Marlins want to rid themselves of salary. You know the Yankees are going to add one or both Harper or Machado after 2018, and the Red Sox have a solid young nucleus of superstar talent. Stanton is type of player the Jays need to remain relevant in the AL East for the next 4-5 years.
  21. Couple of things I'm looking to do before the deadline: - make upgrades in the BP: Would like to add 1 or 2 relievers, whether if it's a closer or holds guys who have solid peripherals & high K totals. - acquire a 2B: not sure when Starlin Castro is coming back and unfortunately Zobrist has had a lost season, so wouldn't mind making an upgrade there moving forward. Even a multi-eiligibility guy would work fine.
  22. I could move a closer who doesn't rack up high K's in either Ziegler or Claudio.
  23. I have to admit as bad as this game has been, it's been one of the funniest and most entertaining games of the season!
