    f***!
  2. I think we all saw this coming. Its a tough call. I think his injuries and him moving off from catcher for the last several years might go against him. But from 2005-2013, he was definitely one of the best, if not best catcher in the game.
  3. Cheers to the weekend Spanky! Just cracked a beer now as well!
  4. Nats were stupid not to take that geez.
  5. Funny thing, Sapporo isn't the most popular beer in Japan, unless you're in Hokkaido. Asahi, Kirin and Suntory are much more popular among the Japanese. As well, I never saw that 650 mL can of Sapporo in Japan. I think it's only in North America.
  6. Also, in Japan you're allowed to bring in your own beer to the games. Just need to pour the beer into a plastic cup as you enter the ballpark.
  7. In Japan, they have vending machines on the street that sell beer. Not a bad idea at ballgames. As well, wouldn't feel pressured tipping someone who just grabs a can from the fridge and opens it for you.
  8. Kennys Vargas signing to play in Japan. Not a bad decision on his part. If he puts up video game numbers over there for the next 2-3 years, he likely could come back and sign a MLB deal similar to Eric Thames a couple of years ago.
  9. Jays are likely signing Cahill for a two-year deal and probably someone like Ervin Santana or Drew Pomeranz for a one-year + incentives if they don't land a SP via trade. Blue Jays will show interest in Jon Gray or Danny Salazar. Perfect targets.

They must have partied hard in LA last night.
  11. I would rather Happ or Morton. I even feel more comfortable giving Happ a 3-year-deal over Ryu.

I'm waiting for a verdict as well. Might just tune into MNF instead.
  13. Yeah thinking the same. Unless Rodon becomes the next Chris Sale or Blake Snell, though with all his arm troubles thus far I'm probably dreaming if he ever reaches those levels. Eaton on that contract is what does it for me.
  14. In a 30-team salary dynasty league, was offered Adam Eaton for Carlos Rodon + my 4th round pick. Thoughts? Eaton is on a very team friendly contract the next three years (8M in 2019, 9M in 2020, 10M in 2021) which is very appealing. When healthy, he's an extremely valuable bat.
  15. Who wants to do a team trade?

If he's not playing, I'm not watching the game.
  17. Heard a lot of Orioles loved playing with him. He's supposed to be a likeable guy in the clubhouse. Still think he's capable of hitting 20-25 HR's. Don't see him being a first choice for a postseason contender, so he might not have many suitors which benefits a team like the Jays. Might see Shapiro and Atkins want to bring in a veteran OF like Jones if he comes at a bargain, similar to them bringing in Curtis Granderson for those same reasons. Might be able to turn him into a future asset at the deadline.
  18. If I'm Garrett Richards, I sign somewhere in the NL like Pittsburgh or in the NL West (except Colorado).
  19. Sabathia won't come to Toronto. Ervin Santana is another option on a one-year contract + incentives.
  20. I don't like Keuchel at 4/80. He's been on the decline every year and don't think he holds up over a 4-5 year deal.

    Can't you take a joke?

I did watch parts of the game last night. I was only joking before lol.
  23. Cleveland must be strapped for cash. Heard they even want to deal EE and maybe one of Kluber or Carrasco. Astros probably didn't want to pay that high AAV on Morton if he accepted. I think he gave the hint that he wanted to retire soon anyways, so he might have accepted the QO. Plus, I'm sure the Astros want to target another arm via free agency or trade and didn't want to commit one of those spots and that much cash to Morton this early in the offseason.
  24. He never really realized his full potential the previous seasons. He's a fantastic two-way player and he'll rack up the hits and blocks. He likely won't be the No. 1 ranked on Yahoo at seasons end lol, but still is more than capable of being a Top 20-25 player in Fantasy Hockey IMO.
