  1. Worst team in baseball. I'm burning my Adam Lind jersey.
  2. I'm going to go outside and smoke a cigar.
  3. I did a player prop parlay on strikeouts with Gausman, Kershaw and Chris Sale. f*** Sale might screw me.
  4. 107 pitches for Gausman geez. I thought Schneider always took guys out early haha
  5. Spanky just doesn't study our Fantasy Baseball league rules, he also remembers dates of players birthdays!
  6. Also, loves to ground into double plays haha
  7. Also a great blocker!
  8. It's just his third season here lol.
  9. Yeah that lineup was brutal, especially in the early going. They needed another two big power bats for that lineup. Adam Dunn would have been a perfect fit. But he didn't like baseball lol. I remember even Mike Wilner went on the radio numerous times saying the Jays should sign Barry Bonds haha. That 2008 team with Halladay and Burnett along with that bullpen would have been scary in the Postseason. Rostering all those scrubs in the early going and not improving the lineup in-season really cost them.
  10. Yeah if you could sign Teo to a one-year deal, that would be perfect. He probably wants to build back his value and Toronto would be a perfect place for him.
  11. Yeah the Springer contract now isn't looking that good, especially if it will tie up the Jays FO from making other moves via free agency or trades in 2024 and 2025. Otherwise, gotta give Springer a mulligan on this season and hope he bounces back next season. Need him to be a 3-4 WAR outfielder moving forward and that contract won't be that bad.
  12. I was thinking the same thing the other night, drawing parallels from the 2008 Jays to the 2023 team, though still completely different rosters. The 2023 team is far superior on paper. Pitching wise, both teams had great rotations and BPs. 2008 team lost both McGowan and Marcum to injuries but Halladay and Burnett were one of the best 1-2 punches in baseball. In terms of the lineup, the 2008 Jays had scrubs playing whereas the 2023 lineup has more fire power and actual elite players. That 2008 team ran out players like Brad Wilkerson, Shannon Stewart, Kevin Bench, David Eckstein, and Rod Barajas. It was pretty bad haha.
  13. Nice catch by Springer but damn that throw sucked!
  14. Yeah gonna miss him next season, but Varsho needs to play CF next season and moving forward.
  15. Would love to sign Teo back to play LF or even LGJr as a DH. Though probably would want to also sign a lefty bat for one of those two positions, or else this lineup will be heavily right-handed again.
  16. Yeah it's unfortunate what happened to Diaz, but it still was a crazy contract. Not sure he would have lived up to it.
  17. That's even with Ryu off the books. I thought the Jays were in a good financial position though? Jays will need a 2B, 3B, LF, and DH. As well, likely another starter in case Manoah doesn't figure things out. After 2023, you only have a two year window. Jays will have a lot of holes to fill this offseason. Can't be tight at all when it comes to spending or trades. Need to spend within reason to make upgrades.
  18. Gaus had a little help that AB, but we'll take it!
  19. Kerry Carpenter with a grand slam today. 9 HR's in August. Should have Player of the Month locked.
  20. Hopefully I don't regret it. I love Luzardo as well but I think he might be fading now given his innings, which was my thinking and why I wanted to move him for a more seasoned vet like Gausman. Hope I still get a couple of elite seasons out of Gausman. I think he should age well like Verlander and Scherzer.
  21. I just traded for Gausman in a 20-team dynasty league. Lets go!!!!
  22. Was one of the most satisfying wins this season IMO. I got up out of my seat after Bo made that throw! Huge play!
  23. Imagine if JaysAllMighty was making these selections on Bet365. He would be a rich man.
  24. I hope Schneider stops using Yimi Garcia to put out fires in the 5th or 6th innings. He should be at the bottom of the BP depth charts and used to start a clean inning. I would have rather seen Richards in that spot or maybe trying to get Kikuchi through that inning. Jays pulled it off which is the most important. But scary to start relying on the bullpen from the 5th inning on in a WC series especially when this lineup struggles to score. You can't do this every night in a WC series or else by Game 3, you've burned through your bullpen.
  25. He was definitely a fantastic pickup. Low risk/high reward signing. Sometimes they work out, sometimes they don't. Glad Belt has been able to stay healthy and be a huge contributor. Those were real nice FA signings by Atkins last offseason - Belt and KK.
