  1. Richards ends up being the closer in Arizona, saves 40 games, strikes out 100 + and has an ERA below 3.
  2. He only threw 64.1 innings this season so he should be good in 2024.
  3. You will be tarred and feathered as well!
  4. Brownie doesn't let anything slide. If you criticize Atkins or this front office in any shape or form, he's on you! He sniffs blood!

Leafs winning the Stanley Cup! Go Leafs Go! Spanky going crazy!
  7. Why are you letting a troll get to you? Just ignore the dude and instead attack me like you always do!
  8. I bet Rodon posts a higher WAR than Berrios or Kikuchi. I give him a mulligan on this season. If he's healthy and 100%, he's been one of the most dominant starters in baseball. I'm not going to let one season change my opinion about him.
  9. Weak counterattack by the Terminator. Pretty much a Spanky response. He could do better!
  10. No team remains from the toughest division in baseball. Yes the Jays lineup was awful other than Bo and maybe Belt/KK who were platoon guys mostly. Wasn't the Rogers Centre supposed to be one of the best offensive environments? Go back and look at my posts from even earlier this season about what I said about the D'Backs. They were my sleeper team this year. I don't think they make it out of the CS but we'll see. Again I'm always tarred and feathered by you no matter what I say. You keep attacking me for some reason. Brownie loves these attacks on me as well.
  11. I thought Lance Lynn was elite.

    Go leafs go!!!!
  13. Last year in the NHL, the Florida Panthers went to the Stanley Cup and the Seattle Kraken went to the West Finals lol. Las Vegas was the best team and got it done!
  14. Yeah Dodgers and Brewers had a lot of question marks heading into the Postseason regarding their pitching. Woodruff is a huge loss. Dodgers pretty much just had Kershaw/Miller as their No. 1/2. Lynn is their No. 3 and if they make the NLCS, Ryan Pepiot might actually be making a start lol. Regardless, great time to face them in a short series. Still the WC and DS are short series and random. But yeah the D'Backs had a lot working in their favour.
  15. Yeah I don't think anyone rational here isn't disagreeing that a short series can be very random. Phillies aren't actually a pushover in any series. For a WC team, they're quite strong in comparison to let's say Miami for example. They also got to the World Series last year as a borderline WC team who got hot at the right time, but that experience IMO does help them. Philly definitely had the advantage winning Game 1 with Suarez, since Wheeler and Nola followed. Braves had an epic comeback in Game 2. So far Game 3 has been a slugfest for Philly. We'll see what Game 4 brings. But yeah there is a very good chance Philly could knockout the Braves in the DS. Even before the series started, I said to some of my friends that Braves/Phillies DS series isn't going to be an easy one for the Braves.
  16. I agree with you to an extent. Yes the Postseason especially a short series like the WC and DS can be random. Though the Blue Jays never really showed us anything over 162 games other than their dominant rotation, bullpen and fielding. The lineup over 162 was as frustrating to watch as ever. It's not like the Jays bats just went cold in their series against the Twins. They pretty much were awful since the end of April. Arizona actually was leading the NL West for a certain amount of time, I believe even in June. As well, they have a young exciting core led by Carroll who could be a difference maker in a short series and two solid arms in Gallen and Kelly. They definitely were meant for a short series. Additionally, they ran into a Brewers team that was without Woodruff in that WC series and also a Dodgers rotation that wasn't 100% healthy. I would still rather the Jays produce regular seasons like the Dodgers or Braves on a consistent basis, rather than be a borderline WC team during the regular season. But regardless, will take a WS anyway we can get one.
  17. Wasn't Suarez like their No. 3/4 starter this season? He also did post a 2.4 fWAR and 3.90 xFIP this season in just 22 starts. He's not an elite arm, but he's a pretty decent 3/4 starter who is still only 28. He also only pitched 3.2 innings, it's not like he shut down that lineup over 6 or 7 innings.
  18. Haven't logged into my Yahoo account for ages until today haha.
  19. Is Scherzer expected back for the ALCS or World Series?
  20. Sucks after that comeback in Game 2, Atlanta coming out flat in Game 3. Hope we can see this series go to a Game 5 at least.
  21. Yeah I don't see them both being better than the Jays unless one or both of them make a bunch of huge moves this offseason. Maybe the equivalent to like when the Yankees signed CC, Burnett and Tex during the 08/09 offseason. Yankees probably have the better chance like you said. They still have one of the best pitchers in Cole, and one of the most feared hitters in Judge. They get some guys like Rodon, Stanton, Rizzo to bounce back and stay healthy, along with some improvements in Volpe, Torres and Domingues, they could be an 85-90 win team. We'll see what kind of offseason they have. I think they make a couple big moves this offseason. They really could have used Ohtani as a two-way player.
  22. I gotta definitely give it a read!
  23. I can't watch this game damnit!!
  24. Lighten up and develop a sense of humour.
  25. BS that the Braves/Phillies game is on SN 360 and not the regular SN channels. As well, MLB TV doesn't air Postseason games in Canada.
