  1. Game 2 should be good tonight. Hope the D'Backs could tie it up!
  2. You just proved the exact point I was making haha.
  3. Yup, AA has made his share of great trades and some questionable ones. The same could be said with Atkins. But for some reason, when Atkins makes a questionable trade, some posters on here give him a free pass and use excuses. Whereas a lot of posters on here point to those two trades AA made to define his tenure here in Toronto, which we both know isn't true. AA did a lot more good here than some posters on here give him credit for.
  4. AA traded for one of the best players in baseball at the time in Josh Donaldson who went onto win the AL MVP in 2015. He also locked up elite players like Bautista and EE to extremely team friendly contracts. Signed Russell Martin to a great contract after he posted a 6.2 WAR season. Brought over Estrada who was a reliable SP. Made some big moves at the 2015 trade deadline that got the Jays to the ALCS and almost to the World Series. But yeah his whole tenure in Toronto should be defined by the Marlins trade and Dickey trade before the 2013 season.
  5. Varsho just needs to lay a couple more bunts down and turn some fly balls into HR's and he's back to being close to a 5 WAR player. It's that simple!
  6. I sent you an email on Yahoo
  7. I'm sure they will auction some seats off.
  8. If you're going, pick me one up as well Jay!
  9. I find it kind of funny how some posters on here were excited once ATL and LAD got eliminated in the DS. Like they used it to justify a Jays early exit in the WC lol.
  10. Mel Gibson or Tom Hardy?
  11. No need to cancel your MLB TV subscription just because of the Jays. Can watch other teams, instead of just the Jays.
  12. The media and politicians love division.
  13. I know you were her biggest fan. Every time I heard Kim Ng's name, I thought of you Term!

Yeah Purdy isn't an elite QB in my opinion yet, but he's solid. MVP likely will be between Allen and Tua IMO.
  15. Took Russell Westbrook
  16. Aubrey Huff I still think holds grudges against the Giants organization and front office for never inviting him to a World Series dinner or ring ceremony or something.

If you're going by QBR, now it's Brock Purdy lol. Allen has all the talent and skillset to be the best in the game as long as he plays more disciplined, which he has over the past couple of weeks. Probably Tua Tagovailoa is the leading candidate for MVP right now. If Allen continues to play better and helps the Bills surpass the Dolphins in the division, he puts himself in a good position.

I think everyone in football and including myself said Josh Allen has all the talent and skillset to be one of the best QBs in the NFL if he plays more disciplined. So far since that stinker in Week 1, he's looked a lot better. Probably Tua Tagovailoa is the leading MVP candidate right now, but Allen isn't that far behind especially if he leads the Bills in surpassing the Dolphins.
  19. Took Klay. Will DM Havok22
  20. Mr. Condescending himself!
  21. He's coming off a 4.1 WAR season, so he had a nice bounce back. But yeah at 32 next season and under contract until 2028, Brewers for sure would have to eat some of the contract IMO. Those later years could turn ugly.

Matthews wins the Hart Trophy this season!
  23. That's a real tough question. Did Bellinger make any adjustments offensively, change anything, lay off certain pitches etc? He was pretty awful with the bat in 2021 and 2022 and yeah would be worried paying him close to $25M per season with the possibility his bat returns to that level haha. His BB% is what's concerning. Was 7.2% in 2023, hardly any better than 6.9% in 2022. If he hits .250 or .260 his numbers won't look that sexy. Definitely the FO would have to do their homework which I'm sure they already have. Bellinger got off to a great start in 2023. There was a stretch in May and June where he was awful and looked like his 2021/2022 version. Then he came back strong in July and just put up video game numbers the rest of the way. Like you said, Bellinger fits the team well being a lefty who can play CF/LF and cover 1B occasionally if he's a 120ish wRC+ bat or more. All he would cost is money. Perhaps other teams have the same concerns and that impacts his market somewhat. Like instead of getting a 7-8 year deal, he only gets a 5-6 year deal given some of the risk he carries.
  24. Looking to make some moves in the DDL. Have a lot of 3B depth and OF depth that could package in a deal for a SP.
  25. Literally he's made of glass. Would love to see him put in a full season healthy and see what numbers he could put up. But even can't stay healthy as a DH geez.
