  1. Gurriel is slashing .462/.533/1.231 with 3 HR's and 8 RBI in his first three games this season haha.
  2. Jordan Hicks picked up the win in his first start of the season yesterday. Impressive outing only giving up three hits, a walk and a hit-by-pitch over five frames, while striking out 6. Will be interesting to see if he could become a reliable starter over a full season.
  3. You can't roll out that lineup on Day 3 of the season when you're planning on contending. Hopefully Clement gets more rope at 3B since we need to squeeze every ounce of offense from that position as possible. Don't want to see Turner ever playing 3B again unless its an emergency.
  4. Gausman on the bump, so lets hope for a series split. Bet the Jays for today!
  5. Astros pen could be their achilles heel this season. They did get Abreu back after his two game suspension, so that will be a big boost. Yankees always seem to get lucky early in the season with these kind of wins. Sucks because with Cole out for 2-3 months, they could have a hot month or two and still be in the thick of things when he gets back. Was hoping they could get buried in the division early. Wish the Jays could have signed Hoskins' as a DH but oh well.
  6. Kikuchi will strikeout 200 batters this season. Wouldn't surprise me if he's the Jays second best pitcher this season behind Gausman.
  7. If it was 2017/2018, rotation wouldn't be that bad. Severino looks cooked now.
  8. Could be a high scoring game if he's not on his game and with Lynn pitching for the Cards.
  9. Ernie Clement is pretty dreamy. On a more serious note, hope he can hit so we don't have to see IKF get 500 AB's at 3B this season.
  10. If the Jays could get a split down at the Trop, I'll be happy.
  11. I'll take KK for today.
  12. Atlanta exploded in the 7th inning yesterday. Adam Duvall had a big hit as well off the bench. Such a great lineup top to bottom. Sean Murphy left with an oblique injury yesterday.
  13. Would be nice if Nate Pearson can become a reliable high leverage arm for the Jays this season. See what he could do with Swanson and Romano on the IL.
  14. It's still early as they say! Only one game!
  15. Print your World Series tickets! Overall, great start to the season! Glad to see the bats rolling and hitting for power! Hopefully this lineup looks closer to 2021/2022 than 2023!
  16. Yeah exactly. Shapiro likely could stay here in Toronto for as long as he wants. When he wants to leave, he will leave whether if that's to transform and leave his mark on another team/organization or moving into the commissioner's office with the sights of taking over for Manfred down the road.
  17. They were talking about this on TSN Overdrive yesterday. Blue Jays have put together winning teams every season in their competitive window under Atkins. The Jays have been pretty much like the Leafs. They have a solid team during the regular season, but when it comes to the Postseason, they haven't been able to take that next step or win that big game with this group. I think Shapiro is safe regardless of what happens and stays here as long as he wants to stay in Toronto. If the Jays crash and burn however, Atkins is likely gone. If the Jays have another winning season and win a Postseason series, I think Atkins is kept around.
  18. Cole Ragans wins the AL Cy Young as well.
  19. Kansas City Royals win the AL Central and Bobby Witt Jr. wins AL MVP.
  20. Frankie Montas is the Reds Opening Day starter. Wow.
  21. FFS I know! I was looking forward to the Braves/Phillies game tomorrow afternoon. Ugh this sucks. Hopefully more games aren't postponed tomorrow.
  22. - Varsho will hit 30 HR's with 80 RBI and steal between 25-30 bases. - Kikuchi will strike out 200+ batters. - Votto will post similar numbers like he did in 2018 and have an .OBP above .400 and post a WAR between 2.5 - 3. - Bassitt will land on the IL and only make 20 starts. - Biggio will hit 20 HR's.
  23. If you're an athlete in another sport like MLB, are you still allowed to bet on other sports like NBA or NFL etc?
  24. Would have been nice to bring in an extra SP this offseason who could have battled for the No. 5 spot and for depth purposes. Manoah looks like a lost cause at this point and sucks having Gausman start the season on the IL. Gotta hope majority of the other arms like Berrios, Bassitt and Kikuchi could stay relatively healthy again and make 30+ starts.
  25. Only the 4th inning geez lol
