  1. Yankees need a 1B. Rizzo has been awful this season.
  2. If the Jays can stay above .500 throughout July, I would definitely try to add especially if everyone is healthy. Would give it one last shot. Can't keep the status quo obviously. If this current team wants to make a run at WC3 and do some damage in the Postseason, they need to make upgrades especially offensively. You either add to the core or sell. Keeping the status quo would be the worst option.
  3. Just took a glance of the standings. A couple of trade candidates from teams that likely are selling (could change obviously): Luis Robert Jr Taylor Ward Brent Rooker Jazz Chisholm Jr. Josh Bell Jake Burger Pete Alonso Starling Marte JD Martinez Paul Goldschmidt Nolan Arenado Ryan McMahon Joc Pederson Obviously some targets would be expensive. But a couple of intriguing power bats, rentals and even some bats with term. Always fun to talk trade scenarios.
  4. Who could be some possible trade targets? I know it's still early but will try to come up with a list.
  5. Teo is on fire!
  6. Yeah geez I know. He's a streaky hitter though. Could see him have a 3 for 30 stretch anytime. Crazy to imagine he would be the Jays team leader in HR's with 12 this season lol.
  7. Yup great series win. Let's hope they keep it rolling and hopefully Atkins does address some areas on the roster before the deadline to help give this team another push down the stretch!
  8. Paul DeJong is having a nice season with the White Sox so far. 12 HR's, 27 RBI, 116 wRC+ and 1.0 fWAR over 60 games.
  9. I've seen "FIRE JP" signs at the Rogers Centre during the 2000's haha. Don't recall anyone ever getting kicked out. We've seen signs calling for firings of coaches, GM's, Team President's etc. As long as the signs aren't vulgar/offensive, and the person isn't disrupting the game by holding the sign up during innings and obstructing views of other fans around. You should be able to hold up a "Fire Ross Atkins" sign at the Rogers Centre.
  10. Wasn't that difficult to add a corner OF bat or DH with pop this offseason. Atkins is supposed to be the genius which is why he gets paid the big bucks. But he can't even do something that simple. At least the Jays have some options now since Vlad looks like he's finally woke up with his bat. They could get something of value in return now if they decided to shop him.

I'll go with the experience. Panthers were in the Stanley Cup Finals last season. Don't see them losing 2-years in a row. It's gonna be tough for the Oilers to beat the Panthers.
  12. Atkins has done this in the past as well, for example with Morales after EE was a FA, and others. He seems to like filling holes early in the offseason rather than wait.
  13. How is Swanson doing? haha
  14. That's Gausman's second career complete game and first career shutout. WTF? Haha wouldn't have thought that.
  15. Hurston Waldrep to be called up by Atlanta tomorrow to make his MLB debut.
  16. This meme could also apply to some posters on this board haha.
  17. Yeah, they should be good! Oakland averages like under 3 runs per game haha.
  18. Should be good. Glad they scored a couple of runs for Gausman!
  19. Need to score a couple of runs. Gausman looking good!
  20. Gausman is at least pitching. Hope we see him in elite form!
  21. I always had the high hopes after 2019 that Biggio could be a Chase Utley or Ben Zobrist type of bat. Even still, loved the versatility he offered and thought he could have still been a valuable piece, but it's time for a change of scenery. I could see him hitting .250/.350/.450 with 15 HR's somewhere as a utility guy who plays all over the field against RHP. Wasn't gonna happen in Toronto unfortunately.
  22. Who knows? Maybe the lineup overall doesn't struggle as much with bats like Teo and JDM in it. As well, maybe the Jays win some of those close games they lost. Instead of losing 2-1 last night, maybe the Jays win 3-1 or 4-2. I know its all hindsight. Though having Teo in LF and JDM at DH would have made this lineup better overall. Not sure they would be holding WC1 but maybe they're around 35 wins and a couple of games above .500 which would have them sitting nicely in the WC3 spot. As well, they would be in a better position to add to the roster come trade deadline. Lastly, this team actually might have been more watchable.
  23. Depends on his price tag and years. Nothing near Tatis or Soto money. I would do a 3 year/$80M extension (similar to Bellinger's deal with the Cubs). Would take Vlad into his 29-year-old season. Vlad has had a solid year to date and also is now playing some 3B. Just needs a couple of more balls to leave the yard.
  24. He sleeps during the day usually.
  25. JDM had more power and was 3-years-younger than Turner. Not too difficult to see who was a better fit at DH. Teo has had success here in Toronto before and has shown to have 3-4 WAR upside if things click for him offensively. Regardless you knew you were getting a corner OF who at least could hit 25-30 HR's and drive in runs. Something this team needed dating back to the start of 2023.
