    Rooting for the DR tonight! US overall haven't looked that dominant. This semifinals will probably be the Finals. Whoever wins - DR or US - likely beats Venezuela or Italy.

    Jays likely to monitor his workload early on. Jays are building up Yesavage slowly: just threw a 35-pitch simulation on March 11 and scheduled for more work on March 16. Hasn't appeared in any Grapefruit League games.

    I think the Jays should be fine if things stay the way they are with the current starting five. Plus Yesavage should be ready by some point soon. Another injured arm, and things start to look a bit more worrisome.

    Still some FA arms available. Shocked no team has signed Giolito yet. Corbin, Anderson, Montas, Nestor Cortes. Not much left.

    Yeah hard to believe. Every Opening Day since Gaus signed here, the Jays have always went with Berrios and Manoah once back in 2023.

    If Vladdy plays like this during the regular season, he's capable of hitting 50+ HR's and having an MVP type season. October + WBC has been real encouraging. Let's hope Vladdy is no longer just a 20-25 HR guy during the regular season

    Yeah don't want to hear it from all the Americans after on how they beat Canada again. As long as Mark Carney doesn't make a stop down in Miami to take batting practice with the Canadian team for photo ops, I like our chances.

    Yeah would have been nice having Pivetta, Freeman, Cade Smith, Sabrowksi, Tong, and Brash on the roster this year. The team put themselves in a real good spot winning their pool and playing in the Quarter Finals. It's a shame they don't have a full roster of guys that could play, but oh well.

    Yeah would like Mexico to win 4-3 or 3-2 whatever. Canada against Italy in the quarters have a chance.

    They should probably choose an indoor venue next time. Seems like it rains in PR all the time. Would be nice to see the WBC again at the Rogers Centre. Would probably be a big draw.

    Have the Dominican's been tested yet? All there games have been against meh opponents and they crushed them. Japan has had some close games - Korea and Australia. Mexico was making things interesting against the US last night in the late innings thanks to Duran. I really think playing in pressure situations/games in the group stage can help for the knockout round. The Dominican haven't really had tough competition as of yet.

    Yeah if he has no issues, he likely could pitch in the semis or finals. Heard them say Skenes is lined up to pitch in the semis.
