  1. 85% of the money on the Yankees and 15% of the bets on the Athletics today. Yesterday, 95% of best and 82% of money was on Yankees ML.
  2. I like Atlanta and Pittsburgh.
  3. If Ohtani was on the Jays, reactions right now would all be the opposite lol.
  4. Hopefully the Jays can carry momentum from yesterday's win and beat up on the Twins this weekend! Take 2 of 3 at least or a sweep would be even sweeter.
  5. I know it's getaway day for the Dodgers and other teams today, but I hate these early weekday games. 3PM start time is awful. Really wanted to see Ohtani pitch, but even by time I made it downtown after work, game would be half way done.
  6. Defensively, this team has been embarrassing so far in 2026. This isn't Blue Jays baseball.
  7. It's tough to acquire one right now at this point in the season. Maybe you sign a FA like Tom Murphy but he seems done lol. Or you trade for a catcher like Joey Bart who might be available.
  8. Hopefully Term didn't go too big on the Jays last night and has some bankroll left to double down on them today!
  9. Hoping to do Comerica, PNC and Camden maybe this year.
  10. I don't think they'll ever replace Fenway and Wrigley. Will do upgrades most likely, but would be a sad day for baseball if Fenway and Wrigley no longer existed.
  11. I actually thought Spanky was pitching, though it was Josh Fleming.
  12. The Rockies and White Sox are still very bad on paper, but I agree they probably won’t be quite as bad as they were in 2025. The A’s, meanwhile, are a team I actually like as an AL sleeper, and the Jays did sweep them. That said, a few of those games easily could have gone the other way. The bigger issue is that the Jays went 1-5 against the White Sox and Rockies, which is obviously not good enough no matter how you slice it. Even if those teams may not be quite as bad as they were in 2025, they’re still clubs Toronto should have handled better. That’s why the concern around the offense is fair. Still, it’s early enough that this stretch doesn’t have to define the season, especially if they can steady things, hang around .500 in April, and start heating up in May.
  13. It’s still early, so I’m not writing off the offense just yet. That said, if there was one area of the roster that looked most vulnerable coming into the season, it was the lineup. There were already several plausible concerns: Springer potentially regressing, Barger going through a sophomore slump, Vladdy not carrying over his postseason form, and the decision to dedicate two lineup spots to both Clement and Gimenez. On top of that, there was the possibility of Varsho once again hovering around the Mendoza Line with a sub-100 wRC+, while Okamoto could need time to adjust to MLB pitching out of the gate. Put all of that together, and it’s not hard to see why the offense looked like the part of the roster most likely to run into some turbulence. Losing a bat like Bo definitely lowered the floor, especially if other hitters don’t replicate their 2025 production and injuries start to pile up. Losing Kirk already hurts, and if Barger misses time too, that only adds to the concern. I’m not saying the Jays should have matched the ridiculous money the Mets gave Bo, but the reality is his absence could be felt if too many other things go wrong offensively. To the front office’s credit, they did make a push for elite talent this offseason. They went after Tucker, but it didn’t work out. So while the results may leave questions, it’s hard to say they didn’t at least recognize the need and try to address it. It’s still early, so it’s not all doom and gloom just yet. The Jays just can’t afford for every one of those concerns to hit at the same time, because that’s when things could really get turbulent. If only a couple of those issues show up instead of all of them at once, this lineup should still be good enough to hang around. The key right now is just to survive April, stay around .500, and give the team a chance to find its rhythm. If they can do that, there’s still plenty of time for them to heat up and go on a run in May. Let’s hope that’s how it plays out.
  14. Yeah as a guy who could provide bulk innings, he's pretty much a lefty version of Chris Bassitt at a fraction of the cost.
  15. Straw is in the lineup tonight and playing RF. If they called up Fitzgerald, assuming Barger is heading to the IL.
  16. Yeah Jays are really good value today especially with Scherzer on the mound Hopefully they get to Wrobleski.
  17. Looks like my pickup in the LOD over the weekend has paid off!
  18. Yeah the pitching matchups on Tuesday and Wednesday will be 👌 I have tickets for tomorrow night's game as well, so happy it's Yamamoto vs. Gausman. Will see about Wednesday - might get a ticket last minute but likely won't get down to the Dome until 4.
  19. High leverage arms are fresh for today, which is a plus heading into the series. Hopefully Scherzer pitches well and the Jays bats could score a couple off Wrobleski. If they win one game in this series, this is definitely the one and hope you can steal one against Yamamoto or Ohtani on Tuesday/Wednesday. If they can take 2 of 3 against the Dodgers, that would be huge and a nice bounce back after going 1-5 against the Rockies and White Sox.
  20. Wish Ohtani was pitching tonight instead - tough to make the game on Wednesday at 3PM ugh.
