  1. looked legit safe. He missed the lead leg first, then got the inner thigh, but i think his hand was already there. Glad to be wrong though.
  2. Figure of speech. I'm down 123 pounds, so I'm qualified to talk about fatties.
  3. Yup. It's all about the mindset and getting the proper motivation. But I will say from experience, getting that proper motivation is not easy to come by for many.
  4. NOt a racial thing, But Cortes looks like he should be giving out free candy at an elementary school. That mustache is no bueno.
  5. Weird to see Gardner not bunting against the shift, if there's anyone who should be doing that at this point, it should be him.
  6. Got a feeling if the first pitch is a slider, it's going for a ride.
  7. s***... Berrios has no fastball command again. Gotta get that back quick or it will be a really short night for him and a looong night for the jays
  8. Yeah, Vlad's AB was pretty bad... not sure how he was late on to 83mph sliders on the inner half
  9. You can lead a fatty to salad, you can't make him eat it.
  10. Proper punctuation is key.
  11. His playoff triple slash is virtually identical to his regular season career slash line…so it’s not like he elevated his game in the playoffs.
  12. I did hold back. Buck’s constant s***ing on velocity just shows how absolutely clueless he is about the game of baseball today.
  13. Pinch hit for Dickerson here? … the way this game is going I would seriously be considering it. Dickerson is a trash can against lefties and in CF, might be a good time to just get Grichuk in there, even though it’s really early
  14. Impressed with this umps strike zone tonight.
  15. Jesus Christ BuCk, shut the f*** up about “back in my day…” garbage. You did NOT face 95+ mph on a daily basis from multiple pitchers. You faced it a few times a month. Quit pretending like Nolan Ryan had Greg Maddux control with his 100 mph fastball, and quit pretending like every team had that guy. They didn’t. You sucked as a catcher, you sucked as a manager and you suck as a play by play guy.
  16. Gil is throwing like what we all want Pearson to throw like
  17. That slider was friggin' filthy though. Excellent tunneling and looked like a fastball right up until it wasn't.
  18. So, logically the next step of the convo is ... what does it take to keep Ray? 5/125?
  19. What's even more hypocritical is that they whine about the the Coors park factors, then never even mention the little league dimensions of Yankee stadium in the R and L field corners.
  20. Playoff odds have the Jays now at 37.2%. Last week at this time it was like 12%. Not a bad week.
  21. Lots to consider here as losing either of them would be a blow to the team. They’re both very similar situations…both are here on 1 year deals trying to build their value. Mission accomplished and then some. Sure Ray was getting 8 million versus 18 million for Semien, but the parallels are obvious. Which guy walking would leave the bigger hole? Can they afford both? Should they push for both or let one walk and try to replace that guy with other another option? And let’s settle one part of it now, obviously you want both to return but that can’t be the goal at all costs. There is a number for each of them that just wouldn’t make sense at all despite their amazing performances this season. Will the upcoming inevitable PA/MLB negotiations slow down any negotiations not knowing if there’s going to be a solid salary floor?
