Starting pitching has been solid and all 5 guys return, so that's a bit of a difficult and impractical area to make a large investment. That bring said, they have been largely successful with free agent pitchers so I'm not opposed to it.
Hitting has also been average on the whole, but several positions have been black holes. I think we can piece something together at 2B and one of the outfield spots, but 3B and LF are obvious areas for improvement.
I'm usually not a proponent of major bullpen additions, but considering we would probably be in the playoff race with a good bullpen, it does make some sense. We've been the worst in the league by far.
