  1. Bassitt has his good stuff again, everything looks sharp.
  2. Sweep these Ma.ssholes. Nobody deserves it more.
  3. I get that there is more to it than this, but this is since opening day with a Hall of Famer being injured: 6 IP, 2 ER 3 IP, 2 ER 6 IP, 1 ER 6 IP, 2 ER 5 IP, 0 ER 5.1 IP, 3 ER 6.2 IP, 0 ER 5.2 IP, 2 ER 7 IP, 1 ER 5.1 IP, 0 ER 8 IP, 0 ER That's consistent and outstanding by any standard. No games less than 5 innings (injury start excepted) and a chance to win every game. You really can't ask for anything more. At this point, I'm happy bringing back Bassitt for another year and investing in a bat, which is a far more obvious need.
  4. You could make an argument for Tampa I guess, but I think their superior pitching will allow them to beat out Boston for 4th. Hopefully we can hang with the Yankees for a while and the Orioles continue their poor start.
  5. You expect to beat the worst team in the division, but it's certainly nice to win 3 in a row. Big credit to our pitching staff, they were dominant.
  6. Kirk failing to advance a runner against crappy pitching could go down as a play that costs us a win.
  7. What? Gausman and Francis have been good. Advanced stats after 2 games shouldn't hold much water. We're well above average as a team as far as starting pitching goes.
  8. What a dominant inning. He can go another.
  9. Well sure, but Bassitt was just as dominant in that particular game, perhaps even better.
  10. I have to ask the question again. Why do we trust Gausman to keep pitching after a base runner, when we pulled Bassitt in a similar situation, in a decision that probably cost us a win.
  11. I hope they send Gausman back out for the 8th. Then just go to Yimi and Hoffman if needed.
  12. We're going to light up s.hitty Houck.
  13. If we think that this team can compete for a title then it's a no-brainer signing. He could be the difference between making or missing the playoffs and we'll pay through the nose at the deadline for that kind of guy.
  14. The newest co-leader in pitching wins in the American League is..... Easton Lucas? Who had that on their bingo card.
  15. Barnes shouldn't be on this team if he can't throw strikes to s***** hitters with a 5 run lead. DFA him and find someone who can.
  16. Devers got on base, which kind of furthers my point. Refsnyder is a career backup and below average hitter and it bailed us out.
  17. We're fortunate that the bottom half of their lineup is ass. Fluharty just seems like he'd get lit up by good hitters.
  18. Cowards are losing and hit our 500 million dollar man. Typical Boston move.
  19. Just started watching the game. Looks like Lucas was fantastic again. How did he look to you guys? I see unearned runs. Boston has absolutely awful defenders all over the diamond. How has that played into the results? Thanks
