  1. One of the few bright spots this year. He's really become one of the game's best rounded hitters. Thanks for the post.
  2. Have fun! Definitely something on my bucket list.
  3. Lawrie's unwillingness is probably a more accurate guess. Call me crazy, but I wouldn't be surprised if DeRosa has made quite an influence on him lately. SSS sure, but his AB's have looked so much better.
  4. You're exactly right. From all my experiences, movement just makes hitting more difficult. It works for some guys, after years and years of repetition. Just a quick YouTube search of videos to refresh my memory, shows a lot less movement when he first came up. I don't know what influenced all this extra movement. It seems like its causing him to get around balls, rather than on top of them.
  5. His hands have seemed to have quieted down considerably, which I think was part of the reason he had trouble barreling up baseballs. He's also staying on the outside pitch very well, which is a step in the right direction for him.
  6. Saskatchewan boy about to make his MLB debut tonight Minnesota Twins ‏@Twins 3h Andrew Albers makes his @MLB debut as #MNTwins and Royals square off at 7:10 CT: http://atmlb.com/13Dn5f1 Retweeted 10 times Expand Reply Retweet Favorite More
  7. I wanted Dickey to throw 9 innings, just so we didnt have to see this clown hit
  8. This team is fundamentally f***ed. I don't think there is a single thing they do well.
  9. When does the fat greek lock up Rasmus? Is this all the talent finally coming together?
  10. I still don't disagree with the Rasmus trade. Guy oozes with talent, and maybe he'll never put it together but giving up spare pieces for him wasn't a back breaker (minus the 8 mil). He's still provided good defense, and I don't think anybody will disagree the talent isn't there. I remember AA being praised heavily at the time of that trade. Low risk, high reward type trade.
  11. Meadows does look like he has a long swing and his hands seem to move a fair bit but he looks like he has the ability to develop a smooth line drive swing. That and what looks to be plus speed (tripled down the LF line in one of the videos I saw).
  12. If we take a bat, I hope we end up taking someone who profiles as a guy who can make contact, instead of these 4 tool players who do everything but hit. What do guys like Meadows and Peterson appear like as contact makers?
  13. Is this the real Adam we're seeing again? Who knows. He's been having terrific at bats this last month. With the financial bind this club is in though, 7 mil next year is a lot to put up with a good chance he returns to his old 3 year average self. Especially when a guy like Hafner signs for 2 mil.
