  1. I still see three standout shortstops on the board. All very different. For the DDLers - Machado turns 25 in July, 2017. So prepare your Gibbers auction offers.
  2. Cano suxxx but he's a better dynasty asset than Nelson Cruz, at least.
  3. Going Nelson Cruz then Byron Buxton seems like a vintage Boxy move, I guess.
  4. This draft makes no sense.
  5. Ok, plan for the cutdown to be Feb 7 and waiver draft to start shortly after. I'll send an email tomorrow with official information.
  6. He's like the right handed version of that guy that's still on the board
  7. Bret Sayre's Steaming Hot Fantasy Take: Freddie Freeman can just flat out hit. It's too bad that he does little else. He might scrape 20 homers over the wall, and if you're lucky he might put together 70 runs and ribeyes in that terrible Atlanta lineup. If he could be counted on for six steals instead of three, then you'd probably move him up a tier, to somewhere just below Eric Hosmer. As is stands though, he's a young second tier 2B that you take in the mid-draft and pray gets traded out of Atlanta at some point soon. If Freddie is the BPA in your dynasty draft, consider trading down and getting a veteran like Prince Fielder.
  8. He is the best and will probably continue to be the best at some other outlet. He has writing skills that can't be ignored. Also takes cool pictures. An artist
  9. 7 Chris Colabellos and 1 or 2 Justin Bours
  10. The best (worst) DDL trade in terms of "what the pick became" happened in the 2013 draft too. BTS Torii Hunter KingKat Roy Oswalt, Mookie Betts That happened simultaneously with this: 100 The True Cardinals - Mookie Betts BTS "pick and traded" Betts for Hunter!
  11. 98 A 2nd Leg To Stanton - Joe Ross 103 A 2nd LegTo Stanton - Dustin Peterson Silverdumb traded 56 to jaysblue and 96 to me, both as throw-in picks. 56 = Cesar Puello 96 = Nick Williams Silvergun Lance Berkman, MiLB #46 jaysblue Wily Peralta, MiLB #56 Silvergun Patrick Corbin, Tony Cingrani, MiLB #18, MiLB #40 NJH Alex Gordon, Kevin Slowey, MiLB #96, MiLB #99
  12. therealmin Josh Donaldson, MiLB #98, MiLB #103 Silvergun MiLB #56, MiLB #96 There are some other terrible, terrible trades in hindsight.
  13. It's funny that Peralta is the most valuable guy on the other side
  14. I told you, I'm a silent co-manager
  15. best pick of the draft...
  16. You always need to apply some general skepticism to an advanced player that only had 54 pro games, all below A+. I think people are getting a little bit carried away with him right now.
  17. Colabello is a dynasty outfielder
  18. "A Torrent of Entitled Whining" would be a good title for Boxy's memoir
  19. Reply to you: Wow. What a torrent of entitled whining. Sure, I understand that it's reasonable to want to see Chris Davis listed with the 1Bs. The team has explained why they haven't done so. It's incredibly easy to make your own mental adjustment. If 'this kind of garbage' refers to the comprehensive position by position roll-out that BP has put together that goes beyond last year's excellent coverage, well, I guess your standards for 'not garbage' are exceedingly high.
  20. 61 comments, jfc. These guys regularly spew out articles that get 1, 2, 0 comments. Their top 10 lists rarely scrape 20 comments anymore, and those are labour intensive pieces that use eyeball scouts.
  21. We got them to redact Brandon Moss! drinks?
