  1. Just did some research and Devers sucks.
  2. Trading Devers for Jimmer Nelson seems kind of retarded
  3. Yeah he thought the threshold was a bit lower
  4. Being BP's #77 fantasy prospect is probably worse than not getting mentioned
  5. Do you know your East and West, Spanky? You know Whitby is West of Oshawa, right...
  6. Maybe something approaching 30M for four years, I guess. Hope it's not Toronto to do it though. I still doubt he'll top $25 AAV. He's likely to either get hurt or decline noticeable this year anyway, given his age, so it's probably a moot point.
  7. Whitby and Oshawa are like night and day, you're right, but saying that you live just a drive and a wedge from Whitby is like saying you only licked the rim of a butthole.
  8. Yeah there are scattered Jew camps and bagel shops downtown.
  9. Well you need to establish a hype train in advance. You can't just pull a Michael Taylor out of your butt and expect people to bite. It didn't work out, but see what Dinger tried to do with Michael Lorenzen as a reference.
  10. KK was my boy for a brief period. He traded me Urias, Joaquin Benoit for nothing, and then Souza for spare parts, all that offseason. Then during the season he almost traded me Mookie Betts - it was so close that it hurts to think about. Now he'll barely talk to me though. I think it's over.
  11. It was separate trades: Dan Norris for Urias Urias to Hurl for Glasnow and Carlos Santana Glasnow for Turner Santana for Longoria
  12. Greinke turning 32 got way overpaid by a desperate team and it resulted in a 6 year deal. It's hard to fathom Bautista getting what he wants. It's possible some desperate team next offseason would throw 5 years and a lot of money at him though.
  13. I must be severely risk-averse compared to you two. I went through my complete ~70 trade history and there are arguably no big losses. I just make a lot of boring, pretty fair trades, winning the odd one. Worst two are probably Trevor Bauer for Mike Olt, and the Dickerson-Scherzer deal which basically swung on Dickerson getting traded so soon but could also salvage itself if Scherzer's arm explodes. Julio Urias could make me regret ever moving him I guess but at this point the Longoria + Trea Turner return looks at least fair. Slim chance but I suppose Stroman and Tapia could make me regretful if Votto all of a sudden declines.
  14. Most of the ones you mention here aren't even terrible. - Kazmir for pick #88 (May 2013) - Giolito + Yordano for Shields - Pineda + Heaney for Beachy and Rasmus - Sonny for Desmond? - Choo for Price was bad, you're right. You thought Luis Heredia was good for some reason. - Gardner for pick #63 - Dee for Garza - Shields for Cliff Lee in July 2014. Did Cliff ever pitch for you?
  15. Well apparently he traded Corey Seager for Jay Bruce before 2014, so there's that. - Franco and Swihart for Austin Jackson in 2014 - 1st rounder for Balfour lol - Liriano for Andrus - Jaime for pick #39 - Romo + Heston for.. Nick Kingham? - A.Rod for waiver #43 But that's over 80 trades. So his success + push rate is around 90%
  16. I think we need to do a new league with player salaries, at some point. Could use real life salaries and set each team's cap somewhere near the MLB average payroll. It would add another layer of complexity but would also make it all the more interesting. I think it would benefit different fantasy skill sets too. Owners that are good at consolidating assets into star players would be worse off and owners that are good at drafting and evaluating prospects / young players would be better off. The league would probably deeper farm systems than the DDL. Maybe next year.
  17. 31) Byron Buxton, OF, MIN 32) Addison Russell, SS, CHC 33) Charlie Blackmon, OF, COL 34) Dee Gordon, 2B, FLA jesus christ
  18. It's just a sore back / back strain. Not a big deal.
  19. Believe me, I tried. Nobody likes him. And nobody wants Shawn/Steve Tolleson. He's a poof; a mediocre reliever that won't keep the job for longer than a couple of months.
  20. Davis keeping OF eligibility for another year would be swell
  21. So Trumbo is going to be in the OF a lot I guess? That's awesome.
