  1. I bet Sham-piro didn't even make him an offer
  2. 35+ comments, this might be the hottest BP article since Mike Fast left
  3. Currently brainstorming hard about how to incorporate Bret Sayre into my PL team name Sayre's Hot Takes is weak but good enough as an initial thought
  4. It's probably the second sentence that has people downvoting. "this list is garbage, f*** BP, f*** Bret Sayre's hot fantasy takes, I am unsubscribing" is pretty hostile
  5. I doubt that was an oversight
  6. Also, how is Dan Vogelbach still a thing people care about? Yonder Alonso ceiling (with no path to playing time) = 23rd Yonder Alonso himself in a starting role = 43rd
  7. He ranked AJ Reed, who may or may not even get 100 PA in the majors this year 10th, but decided to list Davis with the dynasty OF because he'll carry eligibility in 2016. Wrap your pin heads around that. Also, some other guys down the list have eligibility elsewhere. Brandon Moss
  8. Abreu should be like, 6th. Greg Bird not even making the list is egregious. Not as egregious as forgetting Chris Davis though. *slips out of thread before Boxy notices*
  9. I agree with this list entirely. Actually wait, I would move Saunders up at least above Bautista and Squints down two pegs.
  10. why you no join Premier League? We're getting the old gang back together for one last hurrah before, you know, we all die prematurely in the Apocalypse having wasted our lives on the bjmb playing fantasy baseball.
  11. It would have been a great haul, 100% on the basis of Fernandez. The other three are worthless IMO.
  12. I'm actually a silent co-manager, so there
  13. Where does the bat speed come from? The whip he creates with his mechanics. People don't "have" bat speed innately. They create it with physics (and maybe some muscles, I dunno how it works, I'm just an internet poser). In almost every high level swing there is a point where the hips are initiated, the front arm is essentially locked, and the bat is still behind the hitter. I call this the NJH position, or the power V.
  14. I think it was mostly just the .344 ISO and the godly production (his wRC+ was over 200 at some stops).
  15. LMAO @ "arm bar". It's like these people actually have no idea about the mechanics that go into a high level swing. http://i.imgur.com/4DJ6Vgk.gif I guess Donaldson needs a swing makeover. I think when you see a player "arm bar", it's an almost necessary component of a high level power swing. Like keeping your left arm straight in golf. If I was a physicist I could probably explain something about leverage or torque or whatever. So when a scouting report knocks someone for having an "arm bar", give that player a + in your books. Unless they are a speed/contact type of player, that probably means that they have a good swing.
  16. just a humble spectator, glad he isn't in this league because it seems annoying af
  17. how was he still on the board lol
  18. Just the fact that he's 2 years away from being 2 years away from being 2 years away
  19. I actually just asked nox who to draft for the first five rounds of this thing
  20. I think this bad draft was a blessing in disguise for me. If I hit on a bunch of dudes I might have become a completely different owner, perhaps one who *shudders* overvalues prospects. Instead, I hate them and treat them like pocket change.
  21. I don't think he ever says "of muscle". Probably just ate a lot We should expect big things
