  1. Guy who just flew out, Reeves, is a Blue Jays org catcher btw. From Peterborough!
  2. My guess would be FeatherD. Seems like he could use an elite 1B right now and he was already shopping Lamb. I guess your auction should begin...
  3. Does it contain Brett Lawrie and Steve Pearce?
  4. I've long coveted Lamb, since he was in AA, but there's never a fit.
  5. Funniest thing I've seen all weekend. Here is Jim Bowden (OPSBI guy) citing Rotoworld citing him about something he tweeted earlier. Why, Jim?
  6. This is Brett Lawrie's twitter bio D-
  7. Gregg Zaun‏ @GreggZaun Why would anyone competitive be interested in Brett Lawrie, it's not a contest in athleticism, it's baseball!!
  8. Bring him home!
  9. Jose seems locked in. Can we just put him in a jar until the regular season?
  10. Jaime is the better Schultz. Filthy FB/CB combo.
  11. .285/.340/.440 10-15 HR, 30 SB 5 fWAR gold glove all star expect a Starling Marte type season (with better defense)
  12. LOCKED. IN. wow Destroys an opposite field double to the gap off elite prospect Jake Faria like it's nothing.
  13. Kevin Pillar looks good even when he takes a strike. Wow. Reborn.
  14. Kevin Pillar continues to look FANTASTIC with his new approach. Casually takes Alex Cobb to RCF on a line, like he's Derek Jeter.
  15. Having the stadium and training facilities be disconnected seems awful
  16. The added weight on Pompey is obvious from the rear. Look at this ass:
  17. I don't understand this at all. Who gives a f*** about spring training history?
  18. Tanaka has a Platelet Rich Plasma Injection and two months of rest near the end of a season after a partially torn UCL - David Price's issue appears to be much less serious. It's likely inflammation/swelling but no tear of the UCL; no structural damage. Of course the way the elbow is constructed isn't all about the ligament. No UCL damage does not mean the player is out of the woods. Lots of players have inflammation, or a forearm strain, and that is a precursor to near elbow death.
  19. So the end will be slow and painful, I suppose.
  20. Factoid about arbitration contracts, guarantee
  21. Pillar has a good head on his shoulders. Yet another reason why I see a BREAKOUT YEAR coming up for the kid.
  22. I went to several games during Lawrie's tenure and consistently heard negative things from surrounding fans. Lots of people would tell their non-baseball-fan friend that "this guy is a huge douche, I can't stand him" and stuff like that. I don't think he would drive any ticket sales at all, lol.
  23. Right, and without a spring PA. But they also just agreed to the $3.5M arbitration contract with him this offseason so as recently as a few months ago they kind of liked him. Maybe it's injury related. Maybe they've seen Moncada, Saladino (others) this spring and reevaluated and decided to eat a sunk cost? Remove a barrier in between Moncada and the throne, give Saladino a chance to start. Kind of weird! Either way, seems like a good time to have just dumped him on Cyborg in the LoD.
