    Switch waiver mode to continuous - processing day Friday (or whenever.) It'll process claims at 3am on Friday. Then just switch the waiver mode back to normal on Friday. The commissioner's yearly bonus is getting first dibs on Free Agency.

    That's a good demonstration of how good his hit tool actually is! The majority of players can't even put that pitch in play. He's like the poor, poor, poor, poor hobo man's Vlad Sr.

    His walk rates were also pretty low in the minors. I'm assuming he's swung at everything his entire baseball career. Patience as a physical tool is interesting - the sixth tool. I wonder what the biggest changes in BB% over a career are. Mostly interested in improvements. I'm assuming lots of veterans show declines in BB% as they lose a bit of bat speed and can't afford to wait as long on pitches.

    Leadoff talk aside, I still have a sliver of hope that Pillar can be a better hitter. The bat to ball skills are pretty good, and with that contact ability and his speed he probably has the tools to BABIP .320+ If guys like Reed Johnson and Josh Harrison can hit .280/.320 then Pillar should be physically capable of it, and maybe a bit more. Just needs to lay off a bit of the junk!

    The Coors adjustment will finally kick in this year and he'll string together some .350 wOBA seasons for Toronto and remain an everyday SS until he's 40.

    Maybe for a month or two, in between lengthy DL stints? His chronic condition makes any highly athletic movement risky. Running, sprinting, sliding, repeated swinging will all break him down in a matter of weeks/months, even if he is at DH.

    This is the type of absurd youth-humping that leads people to draft Anthony Goses in the 8th round. Tulo is a nearly bankable bet to provide a few more solid fantasy seasons. Swanson might not ever provide one solid fantasy season. Sure there's a chance he is great, but your probabilities are way out of whack.

    Swanson just hit an empty .260 in AA!!!! People are massively overrating these shortstop prospects right now, in both fantasy and real life. The Francisco Lindor effect.

    Dansby --> .259/.322/.395/13/65/57/9 TULO ----->.260/.329/.444/20/62/66/1 And Steamer projects 20 less games for Tulo, so if he DOES stay healthy he should crush Swanson in counting stats. I think Tulo objectively still has the significantly higher upside. Would it shock anybody if he hit .280/.350 with 30+ bombs and 100+ RBI? Would it shock anybody to see Swanson hit an empty .250? What's the appeal of Dansby anyway when you can get a fantasy SS plug like Assdribble for nothing?

    Yeah it's so similar. I was at a party, everyone drinking heavily when that Umberger hit happened. All the guys just went bananas and started hooting and jumping around like a pack of black dudes who just saw street magic for the first time.

    There are scouts that like him more than Otani - best player not in MLB. We'll see... Sometimes these Cubans pop up to so much excitement and then the shine wears off. See - Lazarito.

    It's one swing, but 19 year old free agent Cuban OF Luis Robert certainly *looks* good. Not yet a free agent. Scouts love him.
