  1. one of the smartest and most durable players ever, i would guess

  3. This kind of shocking debuts have always been part of our system. With the old draft timing it was international players that could debut without ever being subject to a draft Now it's MLB draft players. Still exceedingly rare though
  4. I like it. Give Craig his chance.
  5. They really should NOT option Schneider. If Bo is healthy then Espinal and DeJong are completely redundant because both are just light bat, left side defenders. At least Schneids is a viable RHB platoon or pinch hit option. 100% I would be optioning Espinal because I'd want to keep DeJong in the fold in case Bo's knee blows up in a week.
  6. maybe just to give him one more day off
  7. I agree Their draft and development strategy is unusual because they basically admit they suck at developing talent so they just draft MLB ready guys all the time. But nothing inherently wrong with that. Maybe this guy is completely ready for his shot and has nothing to learn. I mean his K/BB rate and numbers seem to show this... Reid Detmers had like 60 minor league innings Zach Neto only had 200 minor league plate appearances
  8. I wonder if he is using a different bat or something
  9. Yeah. That's the statcast spray chart with only those two pitches selected. It's pretty f***ing nuts.
  10. He's like Steven Kwan... on steroids... with no defense.
  11. He had an elite May and a couple of other decent months, so sure. Maybe he has been hurt in August. But he is also 30 with DH tools, a mediocre hard hit rate, and a good but not elite maxEV. He could be better but I find it just as likely that the league could be better against him. Which we might already be seeing.
  12. lol @ Boston
  13. He thinks he's Miguel Cabrera Time to swallow his pride, admit he isn't a legend, and try to at least be f***ing Pete Alonso or Nelson Cruz or some s***
  14. I don't mind it as much with Chappie because his overall performance has not declined. It has just changed. If he is trading 1 HR for 1.5 doubles or whatever, then whatever.
  15. He's late on fastballs because he spends his BPs trying to pepper everything to CF and RF (I assume). Which would be fine if he was doing damage on them, but his swing/approach is so sucked that he basically only pulls fastballs on the ground and is not hitting them with authority to RF often enough. It's horrible. Compare his spray chart against sinkers and 4S with Mookie Betts. Imagine if Vlad could pull fastballs in the air as often as Mookie? He'd probably go from 7 HR on FB to like... 20+ right now. What a f***ing joke. Just look at the hole in LF on Vlad's fastball spray chart. The guy almost NEVER pulls them in the air! f***ing idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. I would love to see Orelvis blossom Of course if we are being honest I'd probably even accept and be a bit happy with Pedro Alvarez. That is to say... just give me a couple of league average seasons while you are cheap! Martinez just kind of feels like found money to me at this point. We all had him nearly written off. So if he becomes a productive big leaguer AT ALL, even if it's just for a couple of years, it will be nice.
  17. But was the water acting like a mamacita? How big is its tributary?
  18. I think so If this forum is any indication sentiment is pretty close to tilting
  19. Jim writes 180 page factums for concrete litigation Therefore he knows a lot about the criminal legal system and sexual crimes in latin america
  20. That's all cool but he'll be a Tiger for a long time and Kelenic will go 25/25 next year
  21. It really doesn't Greene is doing well but he has 11 HR and 33 RBI lmao Also a huge K rate and .410 BABIP
  22. The funny this is I counter offered and you declined. And in hindsight my counter offer was much better for you. I wanted f***ing Byron Buxton, lmao.
  23. Weird one for sure. It's like he suffered a severe training injury and didn't tell them.
