  1. Brad Penny and Wade LeBlanc.
  2. Well he is now off to Philly. Signed a minor league contract
  3. I am sorry you ended up the bad guy, but abuse of men is the minority. Cities dont have shelters for abused men for a reason. I do believe you though. My nephew ended up in pretty much the same situation, but police did believehim.
  4. She was afraid and ran outside and hid while she called the police. They come and now she has no one that believes her. That is what I believe is the truth. The rest was conflicting stories, with friends and drivers, getting guns away from him. The point is, he was out of control, and whether, he hurt her, he obviously scared her.
  5. You know where you can stick that too.
  6. I believe the woman, just as I said.
  7. The latest statistics have one in four women being assaulted at one time in their lives. I will leave this topic, but there is a reason that mlb is investigating
  8. You have no more knowledge of this than I do.
  9. I am biased. Get a grip. Every post on this board about abuse starts out with it must have been her fault. She must be after his money. Probably the reason I usually believe the woman, is that I volunteered in a womans shelter for 20 years. The things I saw that men had done to women would make you vomit. Or maybe it was I saw a 200 lb guy throw my 90 lb sister down a flight of stairs. Or maybe it was the time, her two babies that were four at the time, ran to the neighbour for help, because he was punching her out. So yes, I am biased and have seen it all. I quit working there when a woman who had come to the shelter with her two kids on numerous occasions, and had gone back again and again because she was afraid. Well he finally got his revenge for her leaving him. He murdered her, and the in laws and the kids. So yes I am biased, and you need to open your eyes to the possibility that some men do these things.
  10. No perhaps you should not automatically dismiss what a woman says about abuse. There were no charges laid because his employees covered his ass.
  11. A neighbour filed complaints about loud music, so they must be close enough to hear it, not acres away
  12. How do you know he looked out the window??? He obviously was angry enough to take a gun and start firing. And she obviously had a reason for being afraid.
  13. Rosenthal reporting Chapman traded to Dodgers for two prospects.
  14. In canadian dollars, the jays would have had to offer him approx. 289million.
  15. Johnathan Brownridge. Good strong name when an adult, and can be shortened to Johnny when a little tyke.
  16. Sorry Zero. One too many deletes.
  17. Most everyone did like this move, and I can't explain why I didn't.
  18. Tell that to Tampa Bay. Come on, I understand what payroll means, and I certainly understand how teams are put together and how they become successful. I also said, there was no logic to my feelings. But there they are. So when this team goes on to build a consistent winner, you can all say, well wasn't she dumn. But sadly, if I am right, we will spend another 5 years or so waffling around the middle, being neither good nor bad. Unfortunately, for me, I probably won't live long enough to see another rebuild.
  19. Maybe Hutchinson will figure it out this year.
  20. So their guys that underperformed, are automatically going to get better, but the Jays are going to get worse? Panda supposedly is fatter now than he was at the end of the year. They asked him to go play winter ball to get in shape, and he wouldn't go. Hanram at 1B is going to be better playing a position he has never played in his career? There were already rumblings this winter about attitude problems with Hanram, and the same reason they traded him are still there. The Jays will have Tulo probably going to be better or at least back to his career average. Travis will hit better than Goings. There is certainly a chance that Pillar will continue to improve his hitting. Stroman will win more games than he did last year. Obviously, there are no guarantees with anybody, and the Jays could regress, but I certainly will not be giving the AL east to the Sox. Come on, anything can happen and everyone knows that. But getting Price does not automatically make this team better than the Jays.
  21. Jays scored 140 more runs than the Sox, and won 15 more games, with JB, EE, Tulo, Martin missing time. Yes, the Sox got Price, but they also have Ortiz another year older, Pedroia who is more injury prone each year, and terrible contracts with HR and Panda. Stroman will probably win as many games as Price, all things being equal.
  22. This is from global news comparing salaries between BC and Alberta: Once a teacher gets 10 years of experience, the differences in salaries appear more drastic between provinces. In Alberta, teachers make $99,300 on average and B.C. teachers make about $81,500 after a decade of experience, which translates to a 60 per cent increase in salary in 10 years." BC went through a lengthy strike, that lasted from May right through until the fall in 2014 while, teachers were telling us that they were doing it for the children. Students missed final exams, report cards, graduation, the start of the following school year and none of their classes were made up. When most workers were not even getting a wage increase, teachers were asking for 13% retroactive for four years, when they were already almost two years into the next contract. The biggest problem is that too many older teachers should be retired. Something like only 15% of all union members even voted, and the younger teachers or part timers didn't bother. Then when the senior teachers retire, they get called back on contract because they go to the top of the hire board. Whoever said that the union is too strong, is absolutely correct in BC. The new younger teachers just out of school with enthusiasm and excitement for teaching, have no chance to even get a job. For the teachers that really want to teach, I have all the respect in the world. It is a difficult job, and especially today, with all the difficulties they face in mainstreamed kids. But there are too many that are putting in time, waiting for that pension. And believe me, they are not putting in four hours extra per day marking papers or doing reports etc. In BC ever teacher gets time during their work week to do all this.
  23. Average starting salaries in BC for teachers is $42,000 and average top of scale starting salaries is $72,000. They are all paid a yearly salary, so are paid for their numerous weeks off. An average teacher salary in bc after ten years is $90,000 plus. In alberta it is $100,000.
