If Shapiro is as smart as some think, he will keep AA at least until he gets his feet under him. He was hired, not just for the Jays, but to handle all the operating side, and stadium renovations. I would highly doubt that he would make any drastic changes in the next year or so. If AA and him can't work along side each other, then he will find this out down the road and will do something then. Plus, he doesn't want to start off his career with the Jays hated by fans, because he fired the Jays "savior that got them to the playoffs"

I am a very ancient woman that saw the first game, loved the Jays from the first pitch. Watched all the years of ineptitude. Was there when they played in their first WS, because my hubby went to the bank and took out a loan to buy us tickets. Travelled every year to see my Jays play somewhere, always with my hubby by my side. This year i lost my hubby of 49 years and have been struggling. But my Jays were always there to make me feel better. And today is the first time in 7 months that I have laughed, and felt joy again. Thank you to the Jays and all you on this board that brighten my day.

You are always an optimist that supports the Jays Spanky. Good for you. This is not criticizing anyone, but really think about where this team is. Started off the spring complaining about the Synder trade, endlessly. Then Stroman gets hurt and the world is ending. Hate Buehrle and Dickey. No hope. Fire Gibbons and AA. The Jays struggle along, and even after an 11 game winning streak, woe is me, there is no hope for this team. Hate the Jays, hate AA and Fire Gibbons. Then the trade deadline, and all the bipolars, all of a sudden love the team and are thrilled that they might make the WC. Next it is wow, what a team, praise AA and still want to fire Gibbons, forgetting that it was AA that hired him. Then they win the division, and wow look at that AA, what a job. Of course, now they have struggled in the playoffs, which is not unheard of, especially for a team playing in them for the first time. And it is back to no hope, the season is lost. Some of you are missing the enjoyment of your team making the playoffs, after all this time. You are overlooking the fact that obviously Rogers has stepped up and has decided that they want a team that wins. The team has played scared in my opinion. That doesn't make them a bad team. But even if they don't win another game, this will have been an exciting season, with lots of promise going forward. Jays fans should be enjoying every minute!!!

Me too!!! I read all the time, because people on this board usually have all the up to date info. Very seldom post. But it seems to me that some are making a mountain out of a molehill. You have all forgotten why you left the original message board. It got trolled until it was unreadable. Stop complaining about each other, and celebrate the Jays, and things will fix themselves.
