  1. xm reporting that Lester will not make his start tomorrow against the Jays. Didn't know anymore than this board about where he was going, but that was latest.
  2. And some of us have seen the Jays win two world series, so what. You spent an entire off season on here crowing about how wonderful the Rays were. All of a sudden when they weren't so wonderful, you disappeared. Now when the Jays are struggling, you are back. Well get used to seeing your Rays down there, because they have started their decline.
  3. Should be the ear of the beholder. Either way, it is grating.
  4. All in the eye of the beholder, I cant stand his voice.
  5. Anyone think the jays have enough for Price and Zobrist? I see the Rays are now going to wait right up until the break before deciding whether to trade them. Do the jays take a chance they might get them, or try something else
  6. According to a tweet from Morosi, jays and padres are in discussions on headley. Rosenthal added that some in jays org. Feel that the jays need a bat, not pitcher.
  7. Well unfortunately that lets the Jays out. I think a lot of people forget how much more difficult it is for the Jays to get players to come here. I heard Buerhle being interviewed about him coming to T.O. And he says he gets asked a Lot by players what it is like playing in Canada. When he was asked himself, he was what I call lukewarm. And he is still talking about his pitbull. He said that a lot of players think it is too much hassle for their families. And this was just a couple of weeks ago.
  8. Does he have a no trade clause, because if he does, he wont be coming here
  9. Well who will buy reyes?
  10. And those same chips will be there to sell in the off season, if this season continues to go sideways
  11. They need a trade definitely, and if it doesn't come, then it is on AA's head and he will probably pay with his job.
  12. But then those Negative Nellies look at the worst case scenario in every single case. All winter, Jays are done, AA is an idiot. Beeston should be fired, and Gibbons is the worst manager that ever walked this earth. We have no pitching, our offense won't be able to overcome that terrible pitching, and we will be in dead last all year. And if AA doesn't blow this up and sell everyone, I am never watching a game again. Does that about cover it? Then the Jays are in first place, and this is the best game I have ever seen in my life. I am so excited. f***,f***,f***. What a team. So now there have been some really bad injuries, and those nellies are giving up , the ship is sinking. Even with half a team, and that terrible end of the line up, they are hanging in on most games. How about trying a little perspective.
  13. I have always thought the players should get a bigger vote.
  14. On xm, they talked about Hamels no trade and "supposedly" he has 21 teams on his no trade. But ferrin said that no trades are put there so they can negotiate a few extra bucks, if they decide they will go to that team. They also said that Jays were in on him heavy. Fwiw.
  15. Plus the sox lost. It was a good day
  16. I know why they do it, and twice this year that indifferent run came in and scored, and once they lost the game. Just one of my peeves.
  17. There is nothing I hate more in baseball, than "indifference, letting the guy take second". According to buck that run doesnt matter. Well it does matter. Why give up the chance for a double play
  18. I guess I just don't like trading for guys with back problems. What about Prado.
  19. With no guarantee of him signing an extension with the Jays, why would we want someone with back problems, who is barely hitting over .200, even if it is just for the remainder of the season. Surely, there must be someone else out there better than this.
  20. Talk that the Jays were looking at Aaron Hill again.
  21. Back problems dont go away, they only get worse with age.
  22. Headley has a herniated disc in his back.
  23. I am!!! Losing 3/4 to the sox is disappointing. Facing all those lefties, not having Bautista, Lawrie and trying to hit with a bottom of the line up like Gibbons had to put out this weekend, was almost a foregone conclusion. AA will get this club some help, and I said it in the off season. This is a good team and they will be fighting for a play off spot come September.
