  1. Pretty surprised Madrigal fell this far, he seems like Boxy’s stat scouting wet dream.
  2. Why wouldn't I be a huge fan of Byron Buxton? I traded him for Chris Sale and Freddie Freeman.
  3. Turns out the only thing he has in common with Miggy is getting fat.
  4. September call-ups just free the club from 25 man roster constrictions. Vlad could still get a call-up for a couple weeks, then we just suppress him a bit extra next year to get the extra year of control. Not a big deal. I'd rather see him in September than not, especially if he thrashes AAA. So you start him in AAA next year anyway and keep him down til May, that's the way she goes.
  5. Apparently you thought he'd be much better straight away, otherwise you wouldn't have sigged it
  6. It was my quote, you dummkopf. BTS made it his sig until it came true, then he ditched it.
  7. Something about how Acuna was overrated and was going to be a league average hitter with 30% Ks and no steals. Pretty outrageous stuff. The search function in this forum is completely f***ing useless.
  8. Hey BTS, would you mind bumping that quote I made about Acuna that you hilariously made into your sig for a month because it was so off-base?
  9. I don't understand why they haven't just moved that franchise to somewhere more viable. It's been a sustained economic failure for a very long time. Building a new arena, even one that's actually in Tampa (rather than St. Petersburg) seems totally insane. The Marlins have the newest stadium in baseball and averaging less than 10,000 fans per home game (!). If you combined the home attendance of the Rays and Marlins this year, it would still be in the bottom 1/3 of the league. Baseball in Florida just isn't viable.
  10. With his 8.6% SwStr rate, that's going to require about 250 IP.
  11. Sorry, to be clear... are you talking about Bird or Rodon?
  12. I considered offering him to you for Bird but Greg seems like a hot mess right now, plus I know you're emotionally attached.
  13. Any contenders want to pay me for beast mode 1B/OF Brandon Belt and his godly .396/.509 line? If I can get an interesting Top 50 prospect I would consider moving him.
  14. That sounds like hell. How does a wedding go all night without alcohol?
  15. No additional pieces involved however I would like to note for the record that Brinson is a huge bust and I hate him, and the Marlins have probably ruined him.
  16. I mean I probably would if Seager, Ohtani, and Syndergaard had healthy arms.
  17. Damn, actually the Giants had a f***ing badass lineup that game. Mays, McCovey and Cepeda each had 34+ HR and .915+ OPS that season, while Felipe Alou and Ed Bailey both were well above average hitters also.
  18. This is the worst farm I've ever had in any league, good Christ. And I'll probably trade my 2019 1st as soon as I get it.
  19. Really appreciate your promptness, big guy!
  20. Spanky if you could gif this for us please
  21. Marichal and Spahn were probably throwing 75 mph by the end of that game and survived it due to exceptional manager malpractice and very poor quality hitters. I’d rather see modern ball hands down than watch two aces risk their careers by pitching long past their effective pitch counts.
  22. I'd rather have Hitter Ohtani playing with Pitcher Ohtani wasting a roster spot than having neither playing and occupying 2 DL slots. At this point in the season, few fantasy teams can afford 2 DL spots on one guy.
  23. I'm soliciting offers of starting pitching for Nomar Mazar or Khris Davis.
