  1. I'm a big enough man to admit that I was wrong and you were right.
  2. My motivation is that I remember how depressing it is when there’s no baseball to watch.
  3. He looks like a 17 year old who just found out his girlfriend is pregnant and she's keeping it.
  4. I don't. I pick 3rd and I'm only considering the Top 3-4 guys from the MLB draft. But that's me, I'm lazy.
  5. Wow he looks ecstatic to be drafted by the Jays.
  6. Literally no one thought this. Some posters got excited because Hernandez appeared to be emerging as a much better asset than anticipated, seeing as we virtually got him for free. You, being a contrarian, decided you wanted to poopoo any excitement whatsoever and, being carried away by your own hubris, decided to make a free bet against the entire board just so you could say "I told you so" in the (somewhat likely) event Hernandez came crashing back down to Earth. Then Hernandez predictably regressed, but not as much or as fast as you bet he would, and now you're trying to act like we all thought he was the next coming of Barry Bonds, when in fact, people were just happy that we were getting something out of a free asset. You are joyless curmudgeon, and your instinct to s*** on other people's optimism bit you in the ass, so maybe just wear it instead of acting like you're actually still right. Whatever happens to Hernandez going forward is actually completely irrelevant. You lost, end of story.
  7. Yeah they aren’t even pronouncing it Jy-mer, they pronounce it Jay-mer, which I feel is wrong on two levels. Should definitely be Hy-mer.
  8. Why did Singer slip this far? Gut says we are passing on him. Gonna guess the Jays take Liberatore.
  9. Okay, but Bird had like a 110 career wRC+ coming into today, so why does he get to jump the line after missing most of 3 seasons to injury and never producing at the MLB level for any length of time? I am enjoying very much Didi's regression after his incredible start, the YES guys suck his dick like he's the second coming of Jeter. I don't really care that much about batting order, let alone for the Yankees, it's just a bit odd considering how unearthly hot Gleyber has been. Torres, Judge, Sanchez, Stanton would be the logical and ideal Top 4.
  10. Gleyber Torres with another bomb today. Not sure why Boone is still batting him 9th, he's sitting on a .414 wOBA while Greg Bird comes back from the DL and immediately slotted into the 3-hole. He should probably be batting leadoff when he plays. 4 out of Torres' 10 HR are centre/oppo, just an excellent all fields hitter. He has all the makings of a career .300 hitter.
  11. I was pretty shook when I watched a few Tigers games and discovered his name is pronounced with a hard J. I feel like it should definitely be pronounced like an H.
  12. You look like a man who needs some Junior Guerra in your life.
  13. I'll take 33 + your 2019 3rd for my 2019 2nd + 44.
  14. I know that, come this Thursday, I will not be a commissioner in BORED. However, I implore you, the people, to please vote for Spanky anyway to prevent Boxy from getting a full mandate. If Boxy is elected, the league will be moved to Fantrax, everyone will be forced to change their team names to some stupid Orioles Hangout pun, and unemployment will skyrocket. Granted, Spanky's whole platform is buck-a-beer, but it's still the safer choice.
  15. I am cutting that cisgender ******* Rowdy Tellez and Forrest Wall.
  16. No one gives a good goddamn about Dennis Santana, shut UP.
  17. NJH is litchrully the worst
  18. I'm somewhat surprised Gurriel would make a Top 100, since he's not particularly good at anything.
  19. I never like to bank on guys with elite fastballs learning how to throw strikes later on.
  20. He got traded for almost literally nothing to me in BORED before the cut (with Heaney and Wheeler for a mere draft pick upgrade) and I cut him awhile ago despite having a mediocre OF. He’s certainly replacement level in this format.
  21. So let me understand this... Felipe Vazquez has an arm injury scare, somehow avoids the DL, and then the Pirates use him on 3 consecutive days.
  22. IMO, free agent Jason Heyward is more interesting than either.
  23. The only difference with September is you can call-up anyone on the 40, they don't have to be on the 25. September call-ups aren't really for elite prospects whose service time you want to heavily manipulate. If they do get auditioned in September, that's just additional time that needs to be suppressed the following season to gain the extra year. September call-ups are more for tweeners, guys who you want to see what you might have. Vlad might get called up in September at some point but probably not for the entire month, for this reason. Also, he's not on the 40 man roster, so if he were to get a September call-up, another organizational asset would first need to be jettisoned (which granted, isn't necessarily difficult).
