  1. Good pitchers usually start as good pitching prospects, so they can't all break. Not every good pitcher is Corey Kluber or Jacob DeGrom who totally came out of nowhere to become aces over night.
  2. STL could trade Jose Martinez 'at some point' http://www.rotoworld.com/images/headshots/MLB/5204.jpg Cardinals president of baseball operations John Mozeliak conceded Thursday that the team could look to trade Jose Martinez to an American League club "at some point." Interim manager Mike Shildt has had Martinez on the bench in both of his lineups so far, as he's preferred to go with the better defensive alignment with Matt Carpenter at first base and Jedd Gyorko at third. Martinez is sporting a nifty .299/.365/.478 batting line with 13 home runs and 56 RBI this season, but his defensive shortcomings make him a better fit as a designated hitter. He'll turn 30 next week but still won't be arbitration-eligible this winter, so there should be plenty of interest. Martinez's fantasy outlook appears cloudy should he remain in St. Louis.
  3. I'll give you a first round waiver for Duffy or Godley.
  4. He is ideal in this format as an OBP supplement. That first is likely in the 15-20 range anyway so yeah, I think it’s sensible for you to push in some chips as a strong contender to get Tim Anderson out of your lineup.
  5. Yeah but I already got the best parts of that line. It would be a dream if he got traded to the Yankees, for sure.
  6. Top 40 prospect and a 1st is clearance price? You must really love Belt.
  7. I like Belt but it’s not like he’s a superstar. He’s 30 and having a career year. Good OBP guy who will max out around 25 HR. I’ve been shopping him for awhile with minimal interest. I fully intend to bottom out next year and I think Anderson will be a more valuable asset for me by 2020 when I shift back towards contending.
  8. I've been waiting a long time to draft lol.
  9. You can have him for your next three picks (63, 67, and 71) and I keep all of my remaining picks. Go by the #s on the MiLB Draft tab, not the Team Asset tab as those #s don't include the dissolved picks.
  10. Confirmed; Belt transferred to Featherdick's team. I'm calling up Dillon Tate to clear an MiLB roster spot for Anderson.
  11. Pretty sure it's my pick before Speedy.
  12. He had a seriously gross rough patch where his command flew the coop, but in his last two starts he's 20:2 K:BB across 12 IP, 2 ER. Maybe if I'm lucky he'll be Dellin Betances.
  13. Man it would suck if you were searching for the next big fantasy catcher and then you invest heavily in him, only to see him moved off catcher and traded to San Diego. Dynasty is a cruel game.
  14. He should shave his head in an act of contrition and donate it to a charity that provides wigs for black transgender youths living with HIV.
  15. If you still want to offload some picks for Waiver Draft upgrades, DM me.
  16. You guys are overreacting. John Rocker's career moved on and so will Hader's.
  17. Also overrated offensively. He's not terribly inefficient, but ISO scorers like DD get shutdown against playoff teams.
  18. I'm a bit stumped why the Raps would have to add a 1st rounder to get a malcontent player on an expiring deal. Kawhi is a better all around player than Derozan when motivated (not questioning that) but Demar is a good player in his own right and not a contract that you need to dump at all costs. The team for this year is improved, but I question how that money can effectively be spent after this season. I guess Masai just wants to push in as much as he can for this year and then either try to re-sign Kawhi (against all odds) or totally blow it up.
  19. There's a big difference between the average height of a North American in 2018 and the average height of a European in the 1800s. It's probably several inches different.
  20. No, but he was the victim of discrimination which led to a lifelong chip on his shoulder.
  21. That's not terribly surprising since trade value is directly tied to age, years of control, and salary. By the time you are 30, you are long gone from the list if you're making any kind of money.
  22. Kiley is releasing his Trade Value rankings, he's posted up to #31 and still no sight of Vlad (who is presumably still to come). https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/2018-trade-value-31-to-40/
  23. Some guys throw their 2 seams almost as hard as their 4s, but yeah you would think with that insane velo there has to be some aerodynamic tradeoff just to achieve it.
  24. Jesus f***ing Christ, Hunter Green is SITTING at 102 MPH in the Futures Game... and Basabe just turned one around for a bomb. Elite velo but not much movement.
