  1. Yup, really a real accountant I think.
  2. s*** son, are u a real accountant?
  3. So much for losing out to players because we're a losing team.
  4. For 1 year of upton? 3-4 prospects? Well no under that scenario for me to...but I don't think it takes that.
  5. How about Justin upton trade, plus Martin signing. I want Upton for his walk year, plus the draft pick next year when we let him walk.
  6. If you're interested in knowing where a player won't sign, see my picks.
  7. “You will LOVE Toronto man,” Stroman wrote. “Unbelievable city!” Love the stroshow, quickly becoming my favorite player.
  8. The Mets are unenthusiastic about the available free agent shortstops, and plan to go the trade route to fill the position. The Diamondbacks, Mariners, White Sox, and Cubs are viewed as viable trade partners. Andy Martino of the New York Daily News says “it has been difficult, if not impossible” for the Mets and Cubs to agree on the value of Starlin Castro. Meanwhile, Martino says Alexei Ramirez of the White Sox only emerged as a possibility within the past week. Hmmmm, I can think of a SS who would look good in a mets uniform.
  9. I don't know about that. Tulo is injured and Happ is a pretty good #5...not to mention pillar would likely hit like Tulo in coors field, major breakout candidate.
  10. How about Martin + Tulo > Martin + Goins > Reyes + ok 2B > Sandoval + Goins I guy can dream can't he, it is the offseason isn't it...
  11. I'm surprised he took that deal over QO, but maybe they told him he can stick around for a complete re build and at his age give up any chance at the playoffs or sign elsewhere. rockies knew with Tulo and cargo being shopped he wouldn't take QO.
  12. All this interest makes me feel AA has some trades up his sleeve. Maybe Buerhle and reyes with their 40 million are getting shipped out? Which makes me think, would u rather have reyes and his 20 mil at short or goins and his 500k plus someone like Martin at catcher or panda at 3rd.
  13. Nothing kills time at work like reading the comments. Pure entertainment.
  14. Sign me up. Well sign Yoan up actually, please!
  15. The more I think about it, the less and less I like the trade. It doesn't hurt too much for me though as I'm not a fan of having Lind on the team.
  16. Don't love this trade, but love the idea of having the DH spot open to rest players occasionally. When Lind is out for 3 months with a bad back from playing 1st everyday, no one will complain.
  17. Jays fans are realists who know that Rogers won't spend like the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers...so we look at teams like the Rays and see how they do it and realize there's no freakin way the Rays spend 66 mil on Melky. We play GM and pretend we have the resources he has and try to find creative ways to build a roster. But I do see your point, I think we worry about bad contracts more then most fans, perhaps Vernon wells scarred us for life.
  18. I guarantee my man Alex A won't sign melky to a 5 year 66 million dollar contract! That's pure insanity, take the draft pick or the 1 year qualifying offer. Maybe 2 years with an option for year 3. 11 mil per.
  19. I kinda agree, doesn't seem like a deal the Cards would make, yet at the same time I could see Bautista on their team. I would trade Edwin before Bautista, though it would hurt giving up the middle of order. Maybe Edwin to a 3rd team, we get Wong and Tavares, cards get ???
  20. Ok, how bout another option. What would it cost. Mlbtr: Oscar Taveras delivered that seventh-inning homer for the Cards last night, though a few issues have made the top prospect no longer “untouchable” in the organization’s eyes, Joe Strauss of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch writes. Taveras hit .239/.278/.312 over 248 PA in this rookie season and didn’t see much action down the stretch in September or in the playoffs thus far — he has only five PH at-bats during the postseason. Perhaps of greater concern, Taveras put on 20 pounds last offseason and “his work habits have drawn attention from some veterans,” though Strauss notes that the 22-year-old “is not considered a toxic clubhouse presence.” In my opinion, even if he’s not totally “untouchable,” St. Louis would undoubtedly want a massive return if they considered dealing Taveras and it’s a very long shot that the team would so quickly give up on such an elite prospect.
  21. I think Kansas city is captivating many neutrals and if they keep going it will be a well watched World Series. I'm on their bandwagon!
  22. I like these threads. But I didn't vote on this one, too early.
  23. I put a question mark.
