I didn't realize drabek is sitting at 91... That was his 2nd tommy John to so less likely to bounce back, damn. I thought he was at 95 still.

Call me crazy but I can see drabek being a lights out one inning guy. Didn't he improve his control last year? My heart wants delabar to bounce back as well.

If 1 week ago someone came on here and said lets trade lawrie for Donaldson they would have been banned for life, if they then said we can throw in Nolin and graveman they would have been ridiculed beyond repair....ok ok they say toss in baretto and people would have said ok maybe if you replace one of the pitchers with Sanchez or stroman, MAYBe that's the start of a deal.

Beane sees Nolin and graveman an as 4 and 5 starters pitching like 3 and 4 and then trading them for more assets in 3 years when they start costing money...using his ballpark like he always does.

Wow, I have no idea why I thought Donaldson made 10 mil...makes it a lot better at just 1st arbitration....why the f*** was beans so intent on trading him. We still gave up a s*** ton though.

Melkys just using the turf to try to extract more money from the jays. He probably is realizing it wasn't smart to say how much he wants to return when he became a free agent. I bet AA is working on a 3 year $30 mil offer, or 2@ $25 mil.

I hope the pads get him. I don't want jays to get him at 20 mil per and I don't want the Red Sox to get him because even though he will be over paid he is still good and will help them....until he's an albatross which the Red Sox payroll can handle in a few years. -
In my opinion the greater risk is trading Sanchez then holding onto him ala Drabek and watching him flop. I'd take my chances with an arm like that over a struggling outfielder for 12 mil a year. If your looking at trading pitching prospects you need to look at Bryant type players (not saying Sanchez gets u Bryant), but the risk of trading a future Ace is off set by 6 years of cheap control for a position prospect.

I'm too intrigued by hutch being another year removed from surgery, plus another year of experience, plus pitching to Martin now to lose him for 1 year of a player.
