    I’m no scout and I only watched 2 minutes of that video of him pitching, but that looked like batting practice to me. I’m usually optimistic this time of year but f*** me!!!!!

    Not a lot of great CF options as free agents. How bout we act like a real club and sign Ozuna or Rendon or Cole this off season, or even a couple of them. Imagine: Rendon 3B Bo SS Biggio 2B Vlad 1B Never going to happen though is it!

    For years I have defended Stroman and at first I really liked him, then it felt like every week I liked him less. Now I can’t stand the guy. He needs to shut up! He sounds like such a little bitch. Glad they moved him.

    I agree. We are miles ahead of teams like Baltimore and KC in their rebuilds. Credit to Atkins for not trading away any minor leaguers the last few years.

    I wonder if Atkins did something to piss Stroman off that caused the outburst in the locker room? It would have been so easy to break the news to Stroman that he is heading to New York. Then wait til Stroman finds out its the Mets after the fact. Who would guess the Mets if you just told him New York.

    Brito and Hansen and first things I’ve really questioned...wtf are they doing on the 25 man roster. Put them in AAA where AAAA players belong. If we lose them on waivers who cares.

    Heyman: Have heard there is indeed a mystery team in Manny derby, and also recently heard that team had the high bid (impression also was that the surprise team wasnÂ’t necessarily his preferred landing spot but maybe $ will decide Jays?

    Stroman and Sanchez are exactly the type of pitchers we should be targeting to trade for, not trade away. Value is low with a chance for a rebound. Shouldn’t be trading them away in my opinion.

    Is this too crazy? Be done with Pillar. Grichuk in CF. Pompey and Alford fight it out for 4th outfield and to play cf in event of emergency...and then act like a big league club and sign Harper for RF. Vlad and Harper in middle of line up!!!

    Love this trade! I thought we might have dropped Osuna for nothing and I wouldn’t have been upset if we did. I’m not sure how I could have cheered for Osuna going forward.

    I’ve probably watched 85-90% of games since ‘85 (or back then listened on radio). I used to record onto a vhs when I couldn’t watch live, then a DVD burner, now pvr. All that through 22 years of no playoffs and never stopped. But it makes me sad that after last years start and now this years disaster that I’m only watching pieces of games when I can. Call me a bandwagoner if you want but this team is just so painful. Next year with Vlad is what will motivate me again.....

    I think the problem is no one wants to pay money to watch Morales ‘hit’.

    It feels like his defence is not that great anymore as well.

    -Jays are 2 games under .500 July 25th and begin a fire sale to the horror of casuals. -Tulo plays less then 30 games and is effectively finished as a player. -Alford takes Pillars job. -Smoak turns back into Smoak. -Sanchez and Stroman are best 1-2 punch in baseball. -Ohtani is a disaster and should be sent to minors. Labour dispute starts over fact his 6 year extension agreed to before signing isn’t followed through with by Angels at mid season. -Houston wins 110 games.
