  1. How bout a qualifying offer for Buerhle. As for Hamels..... Despite recent public comments indicating that he’d consider a trade to any club, Cole Hamels of the Phillies has privately indicated to the team that he is not interested in going to the Blue Jays, Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com reports. Hamels also appears unlikely to waive his no-trade clause for a move to the Astros, Heyman notes. But he would be amenable to being sent to the Red Sox “and possibly a few others,” per the report. FYSMC Hamels!
  2. So wilner says it will take one of stroman/Hoffman to land Cueto...please tell me I'm crazy for reading what wilner says! Please!!!
  3. So sad I can't go to this series! A good hotel for value is The Moore, about 20 minute walk. Haven't been for a few years but used to make an annual trip and we stayed there for a good price.
  4. My couch watching trained, yet untrained I'm not a scout eye, saw Matt Boyd pitch 5 days ago and I thought his stuff looked very ordinary. Today what I believed was confirmed. Should have left him in the minors and traded him. Matt Boyd looks very ordinary...but really wtf do I know.
  5. @BKennedyStar: AA said he was "close" to making two deals in May, but they fell through. One was "90% there" before it fell apart. Nothing as close since.
  6. Goins over Travis today.
  7. Latos? Not the pitcher he used to be, but might be a decent pick up with the Marlins all but done now.
  8. My brain says you are right, but deep down something tells me the god damn Rays will find a way again.
  9. This one finishes with 20 runs scored, and we never see Copeland again. 11-9....go jays!
  10. @MLBNetworkRadio: Anthopoulos: If I did have to prioritize I'd say rotation 1st and bullpen would be next. #BlueJays @MLBNetworkRadio: Anthopoulos: Very few teams are willing to do anything early...Really might only team be one willing to do anything now. #BlueJays i feel there should be more teams willing to throw in the towel at this point. Chi sox, Boston, Oakland. Miami, Colorado, Milwaukee, Phillies.
  11. Unfortunately we draw Archer in the TB series, so I guess let's try to win 2 of 3. Beat the O's tomorrow and win 3 of next 4.
  12. Blue Jays Interested In Francisco Rodriguez By Charlie Wilmoth [June 20, 2015 at 9:16am CDT] The Blue Jays have contacted the Brewers about closer Francisco Rodriguez, Bob Elliott of the Toronto Sun reports. The Jays are also seeking a starter. That the Jays would have interest in Rodriguez is no surprise. With the Brewers off to a 25-44 start, K-Rod seems likely to be on the market this summer, and the Blue Jays have been connected to other top relievers, like Jonathan Papelbon and Tyler Clippard. Rodriguez is in the midst of a strong season in which he’s posted a 1.13 ERA, 9.8 K/9 and 2.6 BB/9. His peripherals don’t quite support such an outstanding ERA, but he remains one of the game’s more reliable closers, and he could surely bolster the Jays’ bullpen, which is currently headed by Brett Cecil, Roberto Osuna, Liam Hendriks, Aaron Loup and Steve Delabar. Rodriguez makes $3.5MM this season and will receive $7.5MM ($2MM of which will be deferred) next season, with a $6MM option or $2MM buyout for 2017. @TaoofStieb: I would rather have Papelbon than K-Rod. It's not close. I think as much as I hate Pig f***er, I agree with Tao.
  13. Let chubby play every 5th day like a good back up catcher should do. Smoak deserves to be in the lineup. I'd rather have chubby every 5 days then noodle bat Thole.
  14. @DCameronFG: AL shortstop leaderboard, last 365 days, presented without comment. http://t.co/g2VywTXwEq Hey, look who is 3rd.
  15. Navarro for trumbo...I'd rather keep Navarro as back up catcher.
  16. I'd prefer turning Edwin into some assets, preferably an outfielder who can play defence above a little league level, and if we can get a closer thrown in then sure lets do that to. Preferably, 3 way where we get Gomez and trade EE to another contender.
  17. I bet Harper would lead the majors in home runs to win about $1,000. I made the best last season, forgot to do it this year.
  18. I think billy beanie is never trading with the jays again.
  19. Josh 5th in WAR before today's game at 2.3. Since he won today's game single handily I assume that will be 3.3 tomorrow right...that how it works? f*** you suck my cock that's how it works for me tonight! MVP MVP MVP
  20. Deadpool is right. Actually can one of you stats nerds confirm this because from watching this seems to be right anyway.
  21. Also, my boi AA can f*** off and suck my dick to, I'm done with my love affair. Here's a brutal stat: @ByChrisBlack: Jays Pitching in Anthopoulos Era (2010-15) Starters ERA 4.52 (28th in MLB) Bullpen ERA 3.94 (26th in MLB) Overall ERA 4.32 (27th in MLB) I'm all about pitching and defence.
  22. I agree, he seems to be going downhill. Did anyone else notice the difference between Gibby and Scoscia ( crap, is that spelt right?).....Gibby sat down almost all game in his corner, leaning back, and the camera even caught him yawning, which may or may not affect the team, who knows. Meanwhile Mike S. Seemed into the game, on his feet and moving around the dugout looking like he actually gave a f*** if his team won. I've said it before, I was a huge Gibby fan, but I'm 100% on board with firing him. It's time to send a message and see what happens. Ps f*** this team!
  23. I for one am f***ing shocked this team now is getting good pitching and they can't hit for s***. f*** this team!
  24. Pitcher through a strike to JD, but JD bailed a bit and ducked away throwing the ump off apparently and the pitch was called a ball. The Angels bitched at JD, then in the dugout JD asked the camera man who was talking s***...so JD said, "f*** you, suck my cock"....and the jays went on to win 15 in a row. At least that's what I have figured out anyway.
