  1. I just can't bring myself to care about the outcome of a TRM-FTD matchup. I am truly sorry.
  2. I'm warming to the idea of SG being ousted in the 1st round twice in three years by a MC division rival.
  3. So... Brian Dozier has the 2nd-best ISO in baseball.
  4. There's still a juicy Daniel Wright vs. Texas start.
  5. Ben Revere with 10-15 HR pop would actually be a nice player.
  6. Roman Quinn is healthy and looking pretty good. Starting to think I should have traded Zagunis instead. He could be like an Odubel Herrera with 30+ steals.
  7. You probably have like 52% odds or something. Luckily I only have to tie you to win.
  8. Colby Rasmus finally hitting again. Maybe that weird ear tumour thing he had removed played a role in his incompetence.
  9. - Yikes. Four of those guys aren't rosterable.
  10. The team had one of the best offenses of the last couple decades last season, and they did it with patient power hitters looking to put the ball in the air to their pull side. It's amazing that people who watched this think that the key to unlocking the offense is to slap more balls the other way.
  11. Wish I could watch David Paulino's start today. Guy has been lights out all year.
  12. You're right. I don't think it can be done.
  13. I held until yesterday when reports came out that he wasn't responding well to treatment and Pittsburgh has no idea when he'll be back. It sucks because he's been great all year and is an easy keeper, but a playoff team can't really stash an injured reliever during their run. Yahoo lets you IR players with day-to-day injured status for hockey, and this capability should have been added for baseball years ago. Yeah, it benefits playoff teams, but I don't think spittin actually intended to set it up this way, and I've never played in a dynasty that locked the rosters of eliminated teams. I don't see the harm in changing it now. Very good point.
  14. I'm going to change that tonight. Eliminated teams should be able to pounce on players dumped by teams trying to win a playoff series (RIP Neftali Feliz ).
  15. Cool, my man David Paulino called up by Houston.
  16. Yeah, he's really pushing it here. Hitting an atrocious hitter 7th so you can have a '2nd lead off hitter' 9 is cute until Pillar is the last out in a close game. Not that any of this really matters.
  17. Does Gibby actually believe that Travis is the worst hitter in that lineup?
  18. I just mean you can basically just toss Thole and the Dickey effect aside and look at his RA-9 WAR.
  19. There's the negative contributions of Thole, but also the positives of the Dickey effect. I think RA-9 WAR does a pretty good job capturing the value of him and his caddie. But I wouldn't bring him back if it meant Thole comes along for the ride. You can't have a personal catcher for your swingman when that personal catcher has no other utility.
  20. Yeah, Thole really has to go.
  21. I don't know. I have no insight into why the numbers say he went from average-ish to a tire fire since last year.
  22. None of this is actually true though. He's objectively, inarguably, been a quality 5th starter this year even though it might not feel like it. I don't want him back because I hate watching him, but he's above replacement-level.
  23. Yeah. Can't root for a 1st time playoff team to find immediate success. It's why the only two teams I really want to see bounced in round one are Spanky and TCA. Also, not sure you're aware but you made the LOD playoffs and might want to tend to your roster.
