  1. Sanchez needs to be removed from the rotation immediately.
  2. He still hasn’t done anything with his lineups. We should probably have J4L19 ready to handle the draft unless min stops in and says he’ll be participating.

Both of these guys f***ing suck. Only Toronto can non-tender Ceci and Ottawa is locked into Zaitsev long term.

    Fuuuuuuuuuck that
  5. Yikes, I didn't realize how bad things had gotten. s***** when a premium asset goes tits up by age-32.
  6. I banned you while acting as a representative of BJMB.com, so any financial compensation you feel you're entitled to will be paid out by site owner TheHurl.
  7. BBBB, you never would have created this if I hadn't banned you repeatedly. I expect royalties when you license B.E.V.R to a MLB team.
  8. I’m not going to roster him after I waited a year for Trevor Rosenthal to take a dump all over my ratios, but I think it’s defensible in a league with 22 keepers.
  9. Somebody is going to stash Jordan Hicks until 2021.
  10. I think we're going to need to address the TRM situation before the draft.
  11. The players who's performance at the MLB level actually seems to matter to us in the long-term, for better or worse: Good Gurriel - I didn't expect to be happy with him at the hallway point, but he's grading out as about an average defender in LF, and he's been an above-average hitter through almost 500 MLB PA. It might actually be a 2-3 win OF skill set. Biggio - The skill set seems to be transferring well to the majors so far. Seems likely to be a good contributor who can play a bunch of different positions. Thornton - He's a rookie who's on track to contribute about 2 wins over 30+ starts and 170 innings, and he's controllable for 5 more seasons. That's a legit asset, and one rotation spot we don't have to worry about going forward, even if the current Thornton is ideally only the 5th-best starter on a good team. Stroman - He's done Stroman things and stayed healthy, so he's positioned himself as either a valuable trade chip, or a candidate for a long-term extension. Giles - Same as Stroman. Bad Jansen - I'm not as down on him as a lot of other seem to be, because the defense has been good, and he's not going to keep hitting this poorly. So even with the disastrous offense, he looks like a MLB catcher going forward. Maybe this year means we need to find more of a platoon partner next year than a pure backup like Maile. Vladdy - Not even a bit concerned about him in the long-term, but his 2019 has been mostly disappointing. We all thought he'd hit the ground running like Soto and Acuna, and that hasn't happened yet. Grichuk - He's been awful. Probably the biggest disappointment this season given the 50M investment that was made in him. Teoscar - Most of us thought he was bad coming into the season, and he's been bad. With him turning 27 next season, it's looking like long odds for him to turn into a player. Tellez - He's a pure DH who hasn't shown that he can hit. This isn't a player teams keep around in the long term. Drury - Sucks. McKinney - He's 25 in August and hasn't displayed a single useful MLB tool. Sanchez - Get this guy off my baseball team immediately.
  12. This is fantastic.
  13. I’m bitchmade, so I’m stoked that I’m done with havok and silvergun until the playoffs.
  14. But I’m pretty sure MLB rules don’t usually assign a run to the pitcher in cases like this.
  15. Scoring question: Jansen singles, goes to 2nd on a passed ball, then scores on Biggio’s single. Why is Britton being charged with an earned run?
  16. Britton didn't pitch Monday. He probably closes today.
  17. Looks like Chapman won't pitch today.
  18. I'm almost completely disinterested in Rowdy Tellez in a climate where you can just go get a CJ Cron or Ji-Man Choi for a couple million bucks whenever you feel you need a 1-2 win 115 wRC+ bat to take a bunch of reps at DH. I don't mind giving him reps this year, because why not, but if he hovers around a 90 wRC+ he should be optioned to AAA next year. There isn't enough upside there to warrant spending multiple seasons trying to develop a mediocre DH.
  19. Gibson seems like a guy who might be a Morton-esque bargain. He seems to fly under the radar, but he's turned himself into a 3-win arm and he's been healthy for most of his career. He'd really stabilize the rotation.
  20. He's probably not even interested in ever going back. I don't know to what extent his offensive struggles at the start were exacerbated by him going full Russ Adams at 2B, but it might not be a coincidence that he started hitting as soon as he was taken from a situation he was failing at and put in a situation in which he's succeeding defensively. If I'm his manager he doesn't even have an infield glove anymore, and his job is to get as comfortable as he can in left.
  21. Tellez has been really bad man
  22. In celebration of Gurriel's wRC+ cruising past 150 I've lifted tercet's ban 5 days early.
  23. I'm breathing a pretty big sigh of relief about Gurriel, because I was starting to worry about his contract being a sunk cost. He should probably never step foot in the infield again, but he just might be a viable starting OF.
