OK, I'm going to try to sell you people on Sandy Alcantara:
- he's 23 and sits 95.5 with a 4-pitch mix
- he looks like an elite contact manager: 90th percentile exit velocity, and 87th percentile hard hit %. It's how he's managed sub-4 ERAs in the majors despite markedly worse peripherals
- he swinging strike % in the majors is sitting at 11.6%
He'll need to be promoted before our draft, and I'm not in a great position to roster him while waiting on his command to improve, but there's high end upside here to a team looking more to the future. He's kind of Aaron Sanchez, with actual evidence for contact management skills and no blister issues.
I'd like to move him in a deal for a very good reliever.
