  1. Bauer doesn’t strike me as someone who’s going to respond to window dressing. He’s going to go to the team that A) offers him the most favourable contract terms, and actually convinces him that they have the infrastructure and personnel in place to make the arrangement mutually beneficial. He’s going to want his voice to be heard when it comes to his training regime and pitching on 3 days rest, and he’s going to want a team that provides him with actionable information that he might not otherwise have had. I feel like Toronto is 100% able to meet his contract needs, but it’s anyone’s guess whether he’s impressed by the more subjective bits. It’s probably not something that can be faked though.
  2. Acuna’s agent must be very embarrassed right now.
  3. Sorry, that was dumb advice. It's the same page under the bolded Visitor Messaging, turn quote notification off.
  4. It's not just Springer. Bauer and Realmuto are still on the table.
  5. Stroman is such a ****
  6. Yup. Only I like the idea of Bauer and a Brantley type more than Springer and and SP 2/3. I think Springer is more likely though.
  7. Especially if it ends up being a rental or an extension closer to $300M than $200M. I liked the idea of acquiring Lindor, but obviously a bunch of things had to fall into place for that to make sense.
  8. I don't think they're looking for "rock bottom" prices. They outbid everyone for Ryu last year, because they were still comfortable with the terms. There are probably a few very good players that they're willing to pay more for than anyone else is.
  9. Toronto is one of the few teams apparently willing to spend money this offseason. They'll end up doing it.
  10. Behave children
  11. Settings -> General Settings -> Email Notification of New Private Messages turn it off
  12. Many of the contracts that have been signed haven't seemed to be much lower than would have been expected last year.
  13. Bauer and Realmuto
  14. Yes plz on Hendriks. The current BP looks like a dumpster fire after Romano.
  15. Did not receive so much as a feeler PM when I said I was interested in moving Brantley for an SP.
  16. Sugano would be a huge signing. He doesn't profile that differently from guys like Tanaka, Maeda, and Iwakuka, and they all are/were reliable rotation cogs after coming over.
  17. Whoever is running Razzball's social media should probably be removed from that role.
  18. I don't remember if we're keeping rosters at 25 or increasing them to 26.
  19. A few items: 1. Frenchsoup's tenure as Hurl's co-owner has come to an end. Hurl is regaining full control of his team, and his roster moves will be reversed. 2. Rosters expand to 26 tomorrow, and all unowned players will be placed on waivers. 3. I will now continue getting very drunk, and will be soliciting trade offers. Happy New Years

  21. You're the one who made the trade...
  22. Bauer is the best
  23. Spanky acting like he doesn’t remember the day he traded THE Tanner Roark
  24. I know he was great in 2020, but his xWOBA was 0.331, well below his 0.366 wOBA. I see a player who's going to be about league average on a very team friendly contract. If you see a 3-4 win player there, than yeah, he carries huge value.
  25. People are only suggesting Gurriel as a trade chip because he has value, but also has a replaceable skill set. Above-average but not elite offense, average baserunning, and average LF defense. Nice player, but someone you're probably not going to miss a whole lot if you have a chance to move him as the major piece for an elite player.
