Proposals: 1. Starting this year, we start our NPD one week after the start of the LoD NPD, which starts at 9AM the second Sunday of January. So we'd add the following to the Rules: The Annual New Player Draft (NPD) will begin at 9AM on the third Sunday of January every year. 2. On January 1st we add all unowned players to waivers and expand rosters to 26.

I think it's really just Foster, Curtiss, and Suter. Brubaker and Maeda will be used as starters. I guess Alzolay might also be used as an RP.

I've seen the pictures, and I'm somehow still going to half expect him to waddle out there for his first PA of 2021 with an enormous ass. -
There was a point in 2019 where I thought Stephenson was breaking out as an elite reliever. I think his swinging strike % was pushing 20% for most of the season. Hoffman hasn't really ever shown promise like that. Seems like a weird trade for the Reds.

If a 5-win player is willing to sign here on something that makes sense financially, it's hard to argue that we shouldn't shuffle the pieces around to make it work. Danny Jansen has trade value. Kirk has significant trade value. Either can be used in a package to bring in a SP or OF.

I've loved AA's approach to the FA market in his Atlanta tenure. Ozuna, Donaldson, Keuchel, now Smyly and Morton, all on one year deals. Ended up wasting money on Hamels, but that's a lot of wins added with very little risk.

If he actually planned to play the entire 2020 season, it's pretty pathetic that the Rays couldn't offer him the QO.

I agree with laika. Springer + Lux/Brujan would be ideal. If you can't make a trade, Seager is the obvious pick.

I'm guessing he'll be up after super 2, as long as he's destroying AA. If there is a AA.

I'm a bit surprised they haven't removed Yamaguchi. Clearing the roster spot and taking the chance (however remote) that someone claims him seems like a no-brainer.

Valera isn't on the roster. They'd only have to cut one guy from the 40-man to add those 6. IMO it should be Waguespack or Yamaguchi.
