  1. Is anyone missing a 4th in this year's draft? I'm only supposed to own Abom's and BlueRocky's, but I have three in Fantrax. Not even sure we'll be drafting that deep, but thought I'd throw it out there.
  2. I don't love the idea of renting Morton for what probably amounts to one year, but I felt I needed a third reliable arm behind Bauer and DeGrom. I think I probably undervalued Ramos because I acquired him with the intent of moving him, and never really formed any kind of attachment to him as an asset. The Brantley saga ends up being Brantley for Morton, Detmers, and a 2022 2nd. Seems more or less fair when you look at it like that.
  3. Everyone was fooled by Mazara. He looked like a big strong ballplayer with a sweet left-handed swing.
  4. Oh you don’t like Royce Lewis anymore? He was a pretty big part of your Trout offer. I can’t believe you were trying to bamboozle me.
  5. Last year was so sad. Everyone was excited to see him back and healthy on the mound, but he gets bombed over two short starts and then shut down. Then he also forgets how to hit, for good measure. You have to think he's done pitching if things don't go well this year.
  6. German is projected for like 1-2 WAR. Why even bother with the headache? Just cut him.
  7. I still can't believe the only SP I was offered for Brantley was f***ing Waino.
  8. Reid Detmers available for a high-end reliever. Heliot Ramos on the table for a SP. Could add.
  9. Man, I hate to pump the tires of Jimbo's assets, but Iglesias is really good with a clear path to saves, and an early 2nd in this draft is a steal. I wish I had a higher pick to offer.
  10. Seeing as the only SP I've been offered for Brantley is Waino, I'm going to to shop Brantley for prospects and try to flip them for a SP. I wish J4L19 were in this league to propose elaborate 3-ways.

It’s pretty hilarious that Chris Driedger is better than Sergei Bobrovsky. What a pickle.
  12. Imagine representing the A's and having to float this to player agents. Would be humiliating.
  13. This is how I feel when MikeM is sniffing around one of my players.
  14. I don't know the answer to this, but Luba was all over the Tatis deal on Twitter. His agency gets $17M even if he doesn't require much from them at all over the next 14 years. Her model is to charge her clients an hourly rate, instead of taking 5% of the value of their contracts.
  15. O/U on days before Acuna fires his agent?
  16. The quote function on this s***** f***ing site is ridiculous.
  17. Weird trade. Hernandez is a real prospect, and I wouldn't have thought Mazza or Springs would carry any value at all.

Your replies to me suggest that you actually find the attention pretty unwelcome.

As a hockey fan with a strong rooting interest in anyone playing the Leafs, I really enjoy every game in which the Leafs snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Doesn't matter if they're choking away a 5-1 lead to a league doormat or a 4-1 3rd period game 7 lead.

  21. OK, let's run through this. Here's a list of considerations: 1. Players are only eligible to be drafted if they've played 0 MLB games. This is how things have always been done. The only difference between this draft and previous drafts is that players like Kim, who signed MLB deals, are now also eligible for the NPD instead of being distributed in the now-defunct waiver draft. Rule 3.3 wasn't clear enough on this, so I've edited it to say the following: 2. The promotion thresholds are something entirely different. Players who exceed these thresholds might be on someone's farm, either because they drafted them (when they had 0 mlb games) or because they added them previously from free agency (if they had played at least 1 MLB game) and then moved them down. Anyone who exceeds these thresholds must be removed from people's farms prior to the start of the NPD. Narcs are encouraged. This is rule 2.2. I've made two changes: I've updated the stated farm size to 2.2 and added a clause where owners will add a player to a team's farm if they draft someone in the NPD with no green flag. 3. The draft room will allow you to draft players with no green flags. If the pick is legal, commishes can move the player down. There might be a draft room issue here, as owners with full 26-man MLB rosters won't have the space to draft a non-green flag. There are a couple of possible workarounds here: a) commishes just add the player directly to the owner's farm, outside of the draft room we expand pro rosters temporarily to 28 or something to allow these players to be drafted, then reduce them back to 26 once commishes have moved any non-green flags to farms at the owners' request.
  22. I went with a placeholder out of respect for Mike Trout's new team.
