I just saw on Twitter that deGrom's k/9 is higher than his pitches per inning. He's also the only pitcher ever to give up 1 ER or fewer in his first 9 starts of the season.
If he stays healthy we might be witnessing the best pitching season of all-time.
Raisel Iglesias comes in with nobody out and the bases loaded in the 8th and preserves a 1-run lead by retiring all six batters he faced.
A bunch of teams missed the boat when LA acquired him for little more than salary relief. He'll be a valuable deadline chip.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a reliever with 5 walks and no strikeouts in a high leverage spot. This might be the first time it’s ever happened outside of empty pens in the 15th inning or something.
Right, forgot about that. Feels kind of different now than 5 years ago or whenever that happened I guess. Ozuna might also be convicted, which Reyes wasn't because his wife dropped charges.
We don't actually know what happened with Osuna, and the only thing we're sure Chapman did was fire a gun alone in his garage while his wife was in the house. Ozuna hitting/strangling/pushing his wife in front of the police seems worse by orders of magnitude.
