  1. I wonder if manoah is embarrassed about his Twitter history now.
  2. It's not an accident that you and Danger are both very active and were able to turn your teams around quickly. You can't really check out for a year and then expect to gain ground on teams that are paying attention every day. Which is what a lot of teams in DDL are trying to do. FTD is going to have a juggernaut soon because he's been working the wire and making moves throughout his rebuild. A bunch of other owners will continue to not make any progress. Hurl, for example, should have been all over Stroman when I was shopping him for a 2nd or 3rd because of a perceived (rightly or wrongly) roster crunch. But he sat there for weeks with no offers until a rich team got richer just because they were engaged and paying attention. There are teams in the league like 30 games under 0.500 who just ignore offers on guys in their mid-30s. So yeah, they're never going to have good teams.
  3. My pitching staff is trash. The only valuable players who started the year on my team and actually contributed are Kirby and Gilbert. But my pitching is top-5 because I buy low on useful crusty vets when I have a chance and cycle through the waiver wire to round out the staff. Any team can do this, but half the league can't be bothered. Jaysblue came a hair from winning the league last year with a trash tier pitching staff and stars and scrubs offense because he took the time to find a bunch of good SP/RP guys and was basically unbeatable in saves, holds and ratios by the time the playoffs rolled around.
  4. No. The problem is that a lot of the bottom half of the league doesn’t try, not that it’s too difficult to catch the best teams.
  5. The mets are 8 games under 0.500
  6. Impressive, even though they destroyed the sport this offseason by cutting out 30 minutes of dead time from the games.
  7. Man, Juan f***ing Soto came up clutch. Our second straight tie. See you in a couple months.
  8. I thought I was in good shape until the angels played the Rockies. Might be my first L since early June of 2022.
  9. Cards probably have to pull Waino from the rotation. Dude should have hung them up last year with Yadi and Pujols.
  10. I will be in attendance for the first time in a few years. Hoping to see some Vladdy bombs.
  11. More details about the Franco situation: https://www.tampabay.com/sports/rays/2023/06/22/wander-franco-benched-disciplined-frustrations-royals-kevin-cash/ • Several verbal altercations with teammates, including one with Randy Arozarena May 23 in the dugout. • Not hustling on the bases or after balls in the field, most recently after an errant throw Sunday in San Diego. • Being overly emotional in reacting to unsuccessful at-bats, such as slamming bats and throwing equipment in front of — and at times endangering — teammates, as he did after making an out Wednesday.
  12. I don’t understand why he’s airing this. Media isn’t owed an explanation.
  13. This is bait.
  14. Also all of you idiots should be embarrassed about not making an offer on seager and despairing me into gifting him to connorp. Not as embarrassed as me, but still embarrassed.
  15. Blake Snell is saving my season. Thanks Jimbo.
  16. Damn, sitting a star for 2+ days is pretty serious. I wonder what he did.
  17. Between people whining about mods and jaysblue stringing people along in an elaborate and surprisingly effective multi-week troll, this thread is basically unreadable at this point.
  18. Almost every forum on the internet has rules against complaining too critically/often about moderation. At the end of the day, you're either satisfied with the way a community is moderated, or you're not. And if you're not, you're free to leave. Most readers don't want to read repeated/unproductive complaints about the moderation from a small handful of people. This forum is extremely lax as far as moderation goes.
  19. I see that now. And FWIW, I think the posts above yours cross the line into politics and would have removed the political commentary if I had seen it. And I would have seen it if had been reported. But overall, I reject the persecution complex of moderation being one sided. And I hate that you guys whine about it while never using the report function.
  20. Not a single post about Hudgens was reported, and this forum is actively moderated by like two people. Also, people on both sides were banned last time. And things only got out of hand in the first place because, again, people chose to argue instead of just reporting the post.
  21. Also, I don't care enough about you to lie, Grant. This was the post. I'm not sure how you didn't see the timeout coming given that you posted it after a multiple warnings and many bans had already occurred, but I recommend sucking it up and moving on.
  22. I can not beat connorp
  23. Grant got a 24-hour timeout last week for posting about "radical LGBTQ activists" after everyone was warned and like 12 people had already been banned, is still mad about it, and will now spend a few days thinking about what he's done.
