Lol, I traded for him in DDL like a month ago when he was with Chicago, and tried to in BORED. Lynn still has the three things that made him effective before this year: swing and miss stuff, enough command to limit walks, and the ability to eat innings. I don’t really find it surprising that he’s looked good again since leaving Chicago. Along those lines, Cease is probably going to K like 250 guys with a sub-3 ERA when he finally leaves the most toxic org in baseball.

Should have at least outbid the Dodgers for Lance Lynn. Dude was striking out everyone while being caved in Chicago, and has been great since being rescued from that dumpster fire. But I'm pretty sure the Angelos' wouldn't have approved the extra 7M or whatever he's owed, so instead they get Cole Irvin in the rotation.

I don't really care about fWAR when a pitcher is running a clearly unsustainable HR/FB rate. Gibson is a 4th/5th starter on a good team. Baltimore should have been doing everything they could to add a frontline starter at the deadline, but their ownership isn't serious about winning.

Yeah, jaysblue is Georgia Peach. The waiver period lasts 2-3 days. You can use your waiver priority at any point during that period to make a claim. The highest priority to make a claim during the period will get the player when the waiver period ends. This is what jaysblue did. If nobody has made a claim during the waiver period, it’s first come first serve.

Jaysblue had the second waiver priority and used it on Schneider (you can see he’s the 20th priority now). For some reason the system logged it at 3:04 am and not 3:00 am
