  1. I personally think we should keep the same scoring cats, and add two P slots. Gives teams the flexibility to roster 7 RPs if they want to, and really chase both S and H.
  2. Yup. The product right now is the best it’s been since I started watching baseball.
  3. Acuna just hit 100 HR+SB for the season
  4. I'll be starting a league poll shortly after our playoffs end, but hoping people share their thoughts in advance.
  5. One thing I want to address early in the offseason, so teams can plan accordingly, is the pitching configuration we use. Copying from Laika's DDL poll below: Should we change our pitching active roster positions? We currently have 5 SP slots and 4 RP slots and one P slot. BTS has raised the issue of Closers being devalued by this construction. The theory is that if people try to win Saves they need to use 2 or 3 slots on Closers, meaning they basically punt Holds to anybody who just chases setup men. So, aside from the fact that some Closers have elite ratios, it might not make sense to covet them since collecting Holds relievers is generally easier and lower cost. One idea is to change our pitching active slots so people can start more relievers and have more flexibility to try to chase both Holds and Saves. The proposal would turn one SP slot into an RP slot and add a second P slot. So, the new positions would be SP (4), RP (5), and P (2). This means people could start say 2 closers and 5 holds guys, if they wanted... This would devalue the unicorn SP eligible relievers, FWIW. This change would take effect in 2024. As an alternative, let us know if you would support combining Saves and Holds into SV+H. This would be instead of the active roster changes. This change would let you chase Saves without punting a different category. Closers would be more valuable than setup guys because they tend to collect more Saves than setup men collect Holds. It's possible that a new P category would be added... maybe a ratio like HR/9 or maybe quality starts? You can pick multiple options on the poll, if you would support this alternative. The results of this poll are not binding. Just using it to measure sentiment.
  6. Crazy that silvergun left in 2019 and still has more DDL titles than anyone else
  7. Carlos Danger is in the BORED finals and LoD ALCS. Can we please find a way to get him into DDL?
  8. Jim vs. Danger in the finals
  9. Congrats CD - you've got the tiebreak. Rooting for you in the finals.
  10. And there it is. Congrats Laika.
  11. This is about as close as it gets. Likely going to come down to a Jose Ramirez stolen base.
  12. It's fine if he thinks 90 pitches is about his limit at this point in the season, but that's a conversation you have behind closed doors.
  13. I'm always 100% convinced I'm going to lose a close matchup until it's not longer possible.
  14. You're going to beat me then get annihilated by Jim
  15. Decent chance that a month from now they've missed the playoffs, and have nothing to show for Ragans, Acuna, and Saggese except a 39-year old Scherzer next year. They really should fire everyone.
  16. The Rangers tried to buy their way into playoff contention despite having no foundation, and now they’re in for a rough decade.
  17. Anyone else surprised at how mediocre a season Urias was having? I just looked his stats up expecting him to be at 3-4 WAR with an ERA around 3
  18. Watching Cole Ragans right now. Dude is sitting 99 from the left side with an unhittable change and a slider and Texas decided he was expendable for a couple months of Aroldis Chapman.
  19. Of course it's connorp vs. Spanky
  20. Matchups are in Fantrax: Jim vs. jaysblue BTS vs. Carlos Danger
  21. Semi-final matchups are in: BTS vs. Laika Goldbul vs. L54 All championship caliber teams remaining
  22. I don't want to read 10 pages. If like 3 respected posters let me know who's a troll and needs to be banned, I'll do the needful.
  23. When I think of players/teams that I've considered must-watch over the last 20 years or so: - peak Bonds - Ohtani - 2021 deGrom - 2022 Judge - 2001 Mariners 2023 Acuna is up there for me, but it's the combination of the unique power/speed combo, his enthusiasm for the game, and the fact that he leads off for one of the best teams/offenses we've seen in the last few decades. I think he's the league's most marketable player after Ohtani.
  24. Vlad having virtually identical offensive output to Orlando Arcia with like 30 games left in the season is hilarious.
  25. Decent chance he gets to 35-70. Possibly the most exciting player I've seen.
