1.2 Standings and Playoffs There are 4 divisions of 5 teams. The 4 division winners and 4 wildcards qualify for the playoffs, with the 4 division winners seeded in the top-4, followed by the 4 wildcards. Playoffs consist of 3 matchups, with re-seeding. The championship match will be two weeks, and finish in the second-last week of the MLB regular season.

It's crazy to me that Betts could be two years from passing Miggy in WAR. Obviously I knew he was on a HoF track. But he's going to be a first-ballot, all-time great.

I think voters also like when guys play their whole career in the same city. And there are zero character or PED red flags with Votto: he’s always been a great interview and media darling.

No power to speak of yet, but his plate discipline is insane for a 21-year old seeing major league pitching after less than 100 minor league PA: 23% O-swing 83% Z-swing so far.

I wonder if he could have avoided some of the UCL damage if he shut down the pitching side a couple months ago when he started getting "fatigued" and leaving starts early.

He should still clear 400M. Judge got 360M, and Ohtani is the same caliber of hitter, and should still throw at least some innings over the deal. People point to Judge's OF defense, but IMO there's no reason to think Ohtani can't be a good RF if he's not pitching.
