  1. Just when we thought the lineup couldn't get any worse...
  2. Atlanta would have to completely lose their minds to accept a deal like that.
  3. Everyone wants AA to throw Arencibia under the bus, but right now he can't. If he does that, no other free agent would ever want to come here to play. The best way to deal with the catching situation is to do it in the off-season quietly. If you were someone like McCann or Ruiz for example, would you want to come here if the catcher you are replacing just got destroyed by the team in the media? I think the fact that AA doesn't mention anything about JPA is probably just as noteworthy as anything else, because he talked positively about most of the other position players.
  4. The article is hardly as bad as people are making it out to be.
  5. These were funny as hell, thanks for posting them. Clearly the Jays have to step up their game though, the other teams did a much better job of it. Wish I knew why a few of them had those costumes picked though, because I must be missing a few of the references aside from the mustard.
  6. I'd be upset with all of this myself if it wasn't for JPA's antics recently with Zaun and Hayhurst, among other things. Right now I think he's getting exactly what he deserves.
  7. I'd say do more of the one-panels like that joke one rather than video.
  8. That really IS good. Fantastic job! Juiced should add a section to the website for stuff like that too.
  9. The Rays have already gone through 8 position players and 11 pitchers in that game. There really should be some kind of rule in September that you can only pick 25 players each game who can actually PLAY in the game that day.
  10. Effort to do what? He had no chance of scoring, so he got into the rundown long enough for Sierra and DeRosa to advance. That's his job there.
  11. Pillar didn't do anything wrong there
  12. This is just not our night
  13. Oops, it was Gose after all!
  14. Not a great throw by Gose either (although better than some we've been seeing the last few months from outfielders).
  15. Someone in the bullpen threw it. Colby was just trotting out, had no idea it was coming. The weird play at 3rd yesterday, this today. Amazing.
  16. JP isn't fixable until he gets his head out of his ass and acknowledges he needs to change. I really love everything I've read about how Mottola works with the hitters.
  17. Well, just when you think you've seen everything the Jays and umps come through brilliantly...
  18. Sal comes up, JPA finally has a catching coach, JPA improves as a catcher... Funny how that works.
  19. Heh, "at this point in his career A-Rod needs to cheat to catch up to the fastball". Unintentional, but pretty funny.
  20. They might have one of the best AAA rotations ever there next year. Hopefully they can find some bats.
  21. I think Happ has just over 4 years mlb service and an option, so we should be able to send him down if we want to. I think that's actually the reason we paid him more to hang around, was under the understanding that we might be sending him down as depth but paying him as if he was a full time starter up here. Good deal for both him and us in that sense.
  22. Those fans holding up the asterisks in the crowd for A-Rod are hilarious.
  23. I'd love to see Reyes be a little more troublesome over there at third. Make a few Kawasaki like bluffs, etc, and really get in Hughes head.
  24. The thing is, JPA just needs to accept that he's really bad at this point, and go out and work hard to fix his issues rather than complaining about all the negativity. He really DOES seem to have the talent to do it if he wants to.
  25. Melky wasn't healthy, Edwin has had issues on and off all year, last year Escobar and Johnson could barely jog for half the season. They really weren't healthy. I dunno about JPA.
