You guys are taking it too personally.  He might not be that bright but I don't consider him unlikeable.  He misspoke and he had a terrible season at the plate.  Let's hope for better next year.

I've personally never liked him.  His antics, combined with his inability to fulfill his potential or seemingly make any adjustments has always rubbed me the wrong way.

This is the nail.  I'm appalled at the number of people making excuses for him.  He isn't a child anymore.  He knew what he said and he doubled down on it.  It's no accident.   He only apologized because he was told to.

Angels Attendance 3 million 500 hundreds Trout and Nimala bring the most joy that baseball fans have every experienced.

Blue Attendance 700k  Rogers ratings nothing - not a single joyful things for 2028 Blue Jays.  Rogers out of business.

A 20 year old toolsy shortstop with a draft pedigree destroying the upper minors is about as attractive a prospect as you can ask for.

If Soriano gets us a deep playoff run or two it'll be easier to swallow, but this one might sting. Look at Moreno for a preview.

Why does Ernie always reach for those outside pitches.  Result is always the same, ground ball to short.  It's not in the strike zone Ernie if you have to bend over to make contact.

10 years with 1 successful season.  1 impactful prospect to potentially show for during that time who still hasnt had a full good season in the majors while working with a top 5 payroll in baseball.  

Atkins might have the best job security in professional sports with the least amount actually achieved.  It would only fly in such a soft baseball market tbh lol.

If you are going to assign 10 years to Atkins then the 2016 season was still successful. I am all but sure you are going to give credit to AA for that season as you should, but then if you apply a shred of consistency AA should get the blame for how poorly the 2017-2019 seasons went as that was largely the holdovers from his team that aged out over time. And of course you are incapable of applying any nuance to this discussion as the Blue Jays had one of the more successful regular season runs in club history from 2020-2025 including 4 seasons of post season appearances while narrowly missing by a single game in one of the seasons where they missed. It's been a mixed bag tenure of success and failures but simple minded folks tend to think in black and white terms and aren't capable of treating sports or even life as anything more than a binary discussion.

Who is the one prospect you are speaking of? The team produced a nice crop of prospects in their rebuild period that formed a large part of the eventual core.
