my gut says Little is going down and Mantiply is coming up to give another available arm.

As it stands now they only have 4 pitchers available unless they want to try and squeeze an inning out of Miles and/or Dallas if they need to.

Arrighetti/SWR/Fisher/(Mantiply?)/Varland today. Hopefully the first two can go at least 6+ combined.

Makes sense, is he healthy now? I figure we see Tiedemann on Tuesday.

He's thrown 1 rehab outing in Buffalo. It is possible they hold him down for another one, but... this pen is gassed as f*ck so it would make some sense to just bring him up 1 appearance early as a stop gap until Sept 1

Varland should be good to go tonight. If there’s a high-leverage spot, though, we’ll probably have to lean on Fisher. I’m not sure you want to push Rogers or Fluharty to pitch three days in a row, especially with no off-day tomorrow.

Hopefully Spaghetti can give us 4–5 innings and SWR can cover another 2–3. If that happens, it would go a long way toward keeping the bullpen from getting completely burned.

Yeah there will definitely be some moves. Optioning Little for Mantiply makes sense.

Mantiply was on the 60 day IL so they would need to make a 40-man move. Probably Celluci.

Or someone else going to the 60. Clase perhaps.

Cameron's splits aren't very pronounced. (He's a lefty.)

He's got a good changeup that he uses against righties. Against lefties he ditches it and uses a slider instead.

It's tiny sample sizes, but Cameron and McAdoo both hit changeups well and Gimenez can't hit a slider off a lefty to save his life.

Gimenez has that hammy issue so might be a good idea to get him a day off here.

Thank god we won yesterday. Twitter is full of delusional Royals fans who think they still have a chance to make the playoffs.

Winning 9 of 10 will do that to ya.

Sure would be nice to see the Jays win 4 of 5 let alone 9 in 10.

If the Jays are going to slap hit their way to a post season berth then they need one of those runs. The difference in the WC3 race right now is entirely Cleveland going on a prolonged winning streak. I guess if you want to be optimistic then maybe you can think CLE is peaking too soon, and maybe the Jays can get one of those 5-6-7 game win streaks to gain some ground, but the rotation being an injured mess combined with the offense collectively hitting like Raimel Tapia doesn't bode well.

I will be wearing my Bobby Witt City Connect jersey tonight, but will be cheering on the Blue Jays. It's my only time that I could wear this jersey, so have no choice.

Or it's my Italian WBC Vinnie Pasquantino jersey haha.

Michael Lorenzen has a locker in the #BlueJays’ clubhouse today. Lorenzen was recently released by the Rockies.

^ not a bad move at all. he sucked in Colorado but most do. probably a good enough chunker to use a few times

I mean I presume Lorenzen is better than SWR and Lazaro Estrada

and maybe even Dad Challas, but I like him a bit

Lorenzen's career ISO power is higher than anyone else on the team this year other than Oak.

Let's get him some ABs while were at it. We need his pop.

He can hit, and Anthony Gose can pitch for the Royals tonight

Full circle.  Or something.

Sidall on the radio says Rogers, Fluharty, Little all not available tonight

He just might get thrown right in there

Royals just called up Anthony Gose. I had no idea he was still in baseball

Yeah he's been a relief pitcher for a few years now.

Had TJS and hasn't pitched in the majors in 2 years.

Suarez got waived.

Thought there was a chance we'd pick him up. He has a higher OPS than Springer and Vlad lol
