The Jays began a tough 20 game stretch starting in Houston a few weeks ago that will end this weekend. I said before it began that they pretty much needed to go something like 12-8 and hold their heads above water to have even a remote chance at a playoff spot. So far they are 11-6 with 3 games to go. So yeah, get at least 1 in NY and they are fine. Obviously two is the goal at a minimum, but props to the team for even getting to this point. They looked dead in the water 3 weeks ago.

Yeah not sure why Straw is starting in LF. Dude can't hit and will never be pinch hit for because of his defense. At least Cameron might run into one, and maybe you can dream a bit on him as a late bloomer. Straw stinks and everything except the Jays org knows he stinks. Of course not like Daz has hit MLB pitching in his career either and is closing in on 30, so probably not much there either. Not a huge deal, but Straw really shouldn't be starting unless it's an emergency.

Cameron has no options and will probably just be cut when Vladdy is back right? Kinda sucks we didn't get a longer look at him.

Maybe they will just send Schneider back down instead.
